Just curious to see everyones favorite heroes and why etcetc.
I enjoy Ana and Sombra the most (tied). Ana because I like her character, like she’s this awesome sniper that can heal while also being this totally wholesome grandma xD. And Sombra because I’m absolutely obsessed with her design (gosh that faded sidecut-) and I love her personality a lot.
I main both of them to death, I have a lot more favorite characters too but if i smacked them on here it would be too much xD
Im a big widowmaker fan from the beginning even tho i dont play her as much as i use too i still love my baby widowmaker. reasons are i liked sniper guns and being a sniper in every fps game i have played. also shes hot as hell and looks somewhat like a female night elf from world of warcraft. i kinda wonder if that was blizzards intention in the first place, make her look similar to a night elf? lol
i kinda hope down the road they have a redemption ark story for her. there are some good fan made ones that i like tho
My top 5 would be Pharah, Tracer, Sombra, Lucio & Reinhardt. It’s hard to really pick a favourite from these.
I love pretty much everything about them, whether it’s their design, lore or their gameplay. Their mirror duels are also among the best and most satisfying in the game. I’m crossing my fingers to see some OW2 stuff for them (esp. Pharah who really needs it)
oooh yes i agree widows widow is super interesting as a character, like her nature of how she lives w that heartbeat, and also her really tragic story. Id def also love to see her have an arc!
Widowmaker, period.
There’s a good bunch of very good character designs in the game (genuinely, a lot of them; albeit not all of them). But Widowmaker is miles beyond and above all the rest for me. Everything about her is perfectly done.
She is - simply put - the best Femme Fatale design in video gaming history (and I only mean video game-specific characters, not ones that come from other sources originally, like from comic books or movies; only from, and for games). She tops the likes of Bayonetta, Ivy Valentine, Ultimecia, Morrigan Aensland, Ada Wong (and this one is pushing it).
And the biggest irony (or offender) is that she’s never been identified or ‘recognized’ as actually being a femme fatale, but she absolutely is; at 500% capacity. There’s simply no others like her out there in this category for gaming.
My fear, however, is that they’re going to somehow screw up her character, perhaps her design, and most likely her story in Overwatch 2. I do NOT want to see a “redemption” story happening. If anything I want her to take on the reigns of Talon in the end (and that doesn’t mean you can’t develop the character, I just don’t want to see her being “repaired” or “brought back” to the light or some sort of generic crap like that).
Sigma is the coolest hero in the entire game, can’t convince me otherwise. I just want to know more about him like they released his awesome origins trailer and gave us nothing else about him. Also, he is the strongest hero in the lore hands down. The ability to control gravity? Like he doesn’t lose any fights. It’s not like he can just make things heavier, he can condense things together. Who’s to say he can’t just mind crunch someone into a bloody cube? I want Sigma lore Blizzard, step up your game. 
Sombra - I like being everywhere, also I get a kick out of people who complain about her, despite her being trash
Tanks:
Sigma: Have you heard his ult voiceline? Also, he’s just super fun and quirky.
Winston/Rein : They’re equal here. they’re just cuties
Dps:
Sombra : she’s got style, a fun kit, and “Apagando las Luces” is iconic
Doomfist: Can be frustrating to play against, but he’s the character who spawned 1000 memes. He’s just really cool
Ashe: Boss bih, love her. Plus Bob is adorable. Extremely fun to play too.
Hanzo: I like archers in games. He is an archer. Also, “Sake!”
Widowmaker: I really like snipers. She’s French like me, and her backstory is pretty neat. Just love her overall style. She’s bad and she knows it, without doing too much.
Support:
Ana: She watches over everyone and I have adopted her as my new grandma
Brig: She can be fun to play. Super useful. And a great and relatable person
Zenyatta: I don’t think I need to explain this one. Who dislikes Zen???
Honestly, I can find something I love about any character. So this was tough to narrow down.
Ashe and Mccree, because I love the entire biker outlaw/cowboy thing with them and the Deadlock gang, and I really appreciate their straightforward FPS mechanics.
Soldier: 76 for his basic run-n-gun playstyle, and I really like his character story wise.
Wrecking Ball because he’s adorable, and his playstyle is so incredibly unique.
Finally, I’d probably have to say D.Va too. I adore her trolly voicelines, snarky attitude, and incredibly fun kit.
lucio bc he gos fast
D.Va’s my number one for several reasons:
Gameplay-wise: Pharah, I love predicting where people will be in future and shooting there
Lore and Design-wise: Brigitte. She’s an all around strong sweetheart and a true champion of positivity without it feeling fake
Tracer, cuz I love her active playstyle. Aways on a move, always in action. Bap, cuz he’s very versatile. He can do something useful in almost any situation.
Roadhog, which I feel is obvious. He doesn’t talk much and he was / is one of the most flex-able tanks.
(IDC, what you think he is. He’s in the tank role.)
Also Sigma even though I heard they ruined his kit with an increased Shield CD, his design, VA and kit were / are fantastic IMO.
I say were for these two things, as I haven’t played in 8 - 9 months so… things might’ve changed. 
Doomfist
I mean, the first time I got my hands on him, it just feels GOOD.
Giving someone a splat and slamming down from the heavens, everything he does just feels good.
Sure he is definitely not good and can only work in a Divey team or with an attentive Zarya, and his numerous bugs aren’t doing him any good, he still one of those “feels good” and I occasionally pull him out from time to time.
