So, would it be worth it in your opinion for blizzard to develop a peer report and ban system like CSGO does with their overwatch system?
Let real trusted players drop the hammer?
Pros and cons?
I feel it would be a great thing.

IMO Blizzard makes amazing games but HORRIBLE in the pvp area. Even WoW with how insane the balance is with Horde over Alliance. But check out HotS. Same systems as OW almost to where you get bad matches etc. Almost identical. Blizzard needs to either hire an outside company who knows how to do this type of mmr/sr/etc. as other pvp games do quite well, or just be bad.
It would work well for obvious stuff like hacking. I really liked the system in CS:GO and think this game could benefit from it.
Problem is when it comes to reports about throwing, which is a lot more… subjective here than most other games. In CS:GO, it was pretty simple. Actively avoid shooting people until they shoot you, maybe kill a teammate here and there and that’s it. But Overwaatch? People already believe that something as basic as just playing the wrong hero is throwing that should be punishable, and others can’t tell the difference between throwing and just being legit bad at the game. I really don’t want to see those type of people be given even more power in the system.
The problem with CSGO’s watcher system is that its constantly abused. When I used to play, I would see more randoms playing in competitive get soft banned from competitive without doing anything wrong, than other players that were abusing the system like purposefully taking friendly fire and letting enemy players win.
Overwatch needs an out-sourced party dedicated to moderating live matches at random, jumping into games when they see large amounts of flags being thrown at certain players.
Nah, we don’t need that. We just need Prime MM(phone attachment) and AI system that instantly detects robotic and repetetive mouse movements just like in CSGO.
I don’t dislike the idea but I wouldn’t trust anyone under gm with a system like that. It would also have to be available during queue times because it just wouldn’t get used otherwise. But going back to only trusting gms I don’t think there are enough people who would use it, streamers probably would since it gives them something chill to do in queues but everyone else is just gonna go into death-match or arcade
Yeah because csgos anti cheat is really good…
People have been asking for it again and again, but blizzard could barely spare one person part time for features like roleq, workshop, lfg, etc… And remember, roleq took over a year after devs first started talking about it. So even if devs start talking about it now, there will be one person working part time in the future so its done around the time overwatch 2 comes.
Overwatch agents has been asked for for multiple months now btw.
Also there is a reason there is a trust score. You dont trust the random bronze guy to rate things the right way? Well if he doesnt hes gonna have a low trust score and little influence. With the current system your 0815 bronze guy reporting everyone every match for everything has just as much influence as your t500 player literally watching whole replays and only reporting when he is sure of it.
And dont start talking about we just need an ai that detects everything, how about you just develop such an ai and sell it instead of playing the mc smarty pants without use. There is a reason we dont have any perfect anti-cheat, in fact most anti-cheats are more like your club-door guard, checking if things look good on the outside and thats it. (Very simplified and yes they do more, but they are about as effective)
