Competitive Play

  1. CROSSPLAY BETWEEN PC AND CONSOLE WILL NOT BE IN COMPETITIVE
  2. If you are PC, you can only play a only PC lobby, however if you are a console player, you can only play in a console crossplay lobby (ex. Xbox players will be put in a match with PlayStation and Switch players)

Non-competitive play

  1. Aim assist will be disabled in a cross play game with PC and console players.
  2. If you are a Xbox player solo queuing quick play, and have cross play enabled, you will be put against other console systems (Switch, PlayStation).
  3. If you are a Xbox player solo queuing quick play, and have cross play disabled, you will be put against your console only
  4. If you are a console player queueing with a PC player, cross play will automatically be enabled and you will be put into a PC lobby.
  5. If you are a PC player, you will be unable to opt out of crossplay

What if I am a PlayStation player queueing with an Xbox player in a non-competitive mode? Will we be put into matches with only other console players or PC players too?

I guess only other console players.
That’s how it seems to be.

If you don’t have a pc player in your party, you won’t be put into a pc match.
(Remember that all pc-console crossplay matches are pc matches by definition).

So you if you stay away from pc people, they will never join your games, even if your friends are from some other console else.

I hope we’ll be able to see what platform teammates are playing on, there will probably be toxicity with that if they did it but it would be nice to know.

I heard that Switch players play on 30 fps, which is gonna be rough

From my understanding, you’ll only be getting queued with and against other console players.

Basically, the only time console players will have to play with or against PC players is if they party up with someone who’s playing on PC.

eeesh that doesn’t sound fun at all. They are gonna get absolutely destroyed by pc players sadly

I don’t see the problem with playing with aim assist console players in non competitive modes, I’m not sure why PC controllers players don’t get aim assist already. It’s not like the players in quickplay are top 500 players.

No. PC players will play with other PC players regardless of their input method.

Thank god I mostly play Comp. Can’t imagine getting a Nintendo Switch Main Tank player.
