Does anyone know if there are plans for a separate crossplay competitive queue. Would love to play on pc with console friends. There has not been any word on this since the game released

If they just allowed KB&M on console and matches based on input methods, they’d solve a lot of issues.
Maybe they should have plans to help with the decreasing player count

There could never be a cross play unfortunately due to the major skill disparity between console and PC unless youre in top500
Why not?
Surely there are 2 options.
Let them used keyboard and mouse (if they’re t500 console, they most likely already are)
Let them drop to the appropriate rank.
All they need is separate ranked pool that allows crossplay. People would probably play that more.

Unnecessary split tbf. There’s already too many ranked modes.
I’d just have 1 mode. Then when you queue it just queues you with people using the same input method.
No one would play that. It’s not fair for either imo.

I think there was a missed opportunity to add competitive crossplay in the 5 stack only comp mode Blizzard trialled last season. In that instance there are no strong arguements against it, people queuing are grouped so know what they’re signing up for.
I hope it’s considered in the future.

This game is so dead already. ppl are dropping of OW quick.
Not saying cross platform ranked, is gonna fix that problem alone. But it sure wouldnt damage it.
This game is more or less ONLY fun when playing Ranked (a functioning ranked system).
Normal mode is so bad as it is, with ppl leaving / griefing / trolling and stright up, DONT GIVE A DAMN ABOUT THE GAME. We need ranked to rais ranks, and HOPEFULLY get to play games with ppl who actualy takes it alittle serious. And thats NEVER gonna happend in normal games.
