Crossover or Limited edition heroes?

Thoughts or comments?

I’d love to see Aigis from persona 3 mostly just because I’m an Atlus fanboy. She’s also an android, so I think she’d contrast the entirely omnic/human/animal cast quite well.

Plus I think her abilities would look pretty neat in-game.

Curious by what you mean/how you’d implement ā€œlimited editionā€ heroes though?

They’ve said they will never do cross-over heroes. I’m all for limited edition heroes.

A character thats only able to be played for a set amount of time, like an event hero!

What a waste of time and resources by the devs for something that is time locked. I don’t think this is a good idea.

I’m assuming by ā€˜Limited Edition’ you mean a hero that will be available to some players but not others.

I don’t think I need to say why that’s a really bad idea.

Limited Edition Heroes

I think Rich is right, people would riot if you took a character away from them!
But I think you could do some cool crossover skins with existing characters for an event. All hypothetical, of course!

Like Metal Gear solid!

D.va Snake/Metal Gear:

McCree as Revolver Ocelot

And Gray fox Genji!

11/10 if the mech is just a box.

ā€œLimited editionā€ would be a horrible idea by both interpretations.

A character that is only usable for a short while will just make people want them all the time. This would be fine if it was as a teaser(like an early reveal/playtest), but they would need to make it abundantly clear the character is in the works. They could also do something weird like make a WoW/Diablo style character skin for a teaser mode, then later reveal the full character. That would actually be kind of cool.

The other interpretation is a character that is only given to players who earn/buy it within a limited period. This is… bad on so many levels. If the character is good(which is expected of limited things), then it creates a power dynamic between new and old players. If it’s bad, even, it means that some players do not have access to all of the game. And that is garbage.

And crossovers? While it would never happen, I would be relatively okay with it if it made sense. Most crossovers are awkward and/or gamebreaking. Crossover skins like someone else said would probably be more likely and better.

ā€œI need your HALP!ā€

Orgia mode would make for either a good ability or a decent ultimate and Persona switching (if we’re taking FES Aigis into consideration) would be a cool mechanic.

Personally, I’d like to see Hat Kid from A Hat in Time.
Just look at her!

Who wouldn’t love to play as that adorable face?
Hookshot, Brewing Hat, Time Piece Ultimate, there’s a lot to pick from.

We have a character inspired by fighting games, why not one inspired by a platformer?

Though I’d lean away from Limited-time Heroes for a game like Overwatch.
