I had an overwatch account on my xbox that i had played on for a very long time and also bought the overwatch 2 watchpoint pack for. I also had an account for pc overwatch that i did not play on very much and was a low level. When i started overwatch 2 it seems that my xbox account was automatically changed to the pc account and all of the stuff is gone and the watchpoint pack was transferred to that account either. I dont really want to restart on this account since i had been playing on the other for years and had collected alot of stuff. Is there a way to recover this?

it should merge so you get everything, it will make it the name of the battlenet account (pc) tho. If stuff is missing, they have said that can happen and will get fixed soon

it didnt though, when i went onto the game i didnt have any of the skins or anything else from the xbox account and just the ones from the pc one linked to the same battlenet
well thats what im saying alot of people are missing stuff even though merging, it will get fixed. But you cant choose to make your xbox the final account. They both get merged into one and that account will be named after your battle net name not the xbox/playstation/switch profile one
its not just stuff though its as if the xbox account was completely overwritten, all the settings and everything

I’ve check both my ps5 and Xbox one and it says I have no progression even though I played this game so much years ago.

well the pc account had playtime on overwatch one so yeah i have the characters
I don’t even have all the characters unlocked even though I played some on pc. Did you get the option to merge? When I launched on my ps5 I don’t even see a merge option, just my pc stats etc but heroes locked.

Did you go through the merging process prior to opening OW2?
No I didn’t even know about that. But people are getting the merge button on overwatch 2. I am not, it completely wrote over my ps4 data for my pc data

Things are still buggy right now for most people. Might be the reason you’re not seeing the option. Give them some time to sort things out and then see.
since the account has already been overwritten does that mean even if i am able to do that i wont be able to get the stuff?
I merged prior and had access to junkerqueen, kiriko, and sojourn but none of my skins or emotes etc. Then i get booted asked to merge the account again and wouldnt you know all the new heroes are now lockes for me hahah…still no skins even though i had almost every unlockable in overwatch 1
As of 10/8/22 i am still facing the same issue and it really sucks cause like i wanna play but feel like there is no point in playing it if i cant use the skins i want for the character i want
as a question do u know how much longer the items are gonna be gone for i have waited weeks and in ow 1 my account was merged with the same name and account when i got to overwatch 2 i had to re merge and only yesterday was it merged and when it was all the things i had on xbox are gone and i have the same thing on xbox and pc i have my pc items on xbox and all my xbox ones are gone if you know what i mean i spent hours and hours playing have multiple gold guns and they are all gone do u know any ways to fix this or is it just a matter of time?
Hard to tell, might want to do a hard reset of your console and then restart your game a few times to see if they items pop in, but people are still even now complaining about missing items like skins and golden weapons. It’s possible they’re still pushing stuff through slowly while also dealing with more important issues, but if your stuff is still missing by Friday, might just want to submit a ticket to Blizzard.
