I’m very disappointed right now So I owned Overwatch on my Xbox One and played for years, it’s the only reason I kept the console at all, because cross progression wasn’t a thing yet. I was so excited to hear it would be on Overwatch 2, so I could finally start playing on my PS5 full time and sell my Xbox. I bought the beta on PlayStation, booted it up, low and behold, I don’t have ANY of my skins or cosmetics from my Xbox platform despite promising “cross progression”. This is really upsetting, I don’t wanna feel like I lost all my cosmetics that I worked really hard for. Anyone got any ideas?
Edit: Thank you for the people who were being helpful, much appreciated! I didn’t know the cross progression wouldn’t be implemented til October, I had looked for that info all around online and didn’t find anything so I was confused lol
The beta isn’t the final product. It’s still in development… Cross progression isn’t implemented yet, and you don’t need your skins in the beta to enjoy it. You are there first and foremost to test the new heroes, the new maps, and the hero changes, and give feedback based off of your playing experience. You are literally BETA TESTING the game. This is not the replacement for the live OW1 game we have now. If that upsets you, then don’t participate in beta tests.

Well here’s my first post playing with two of my friends both have cross progression and I don’t it’s actually kind of annoying to be honest that I don’t have all the stuff I worked for.
did you really make a whole post whining about how theres no cross progression without ONCE searching to see if someone else had the same problem? cause if you had, you would have gotten the answer you wanted.
There was no need to be rude. I had looked to try and find out if there was cross progression implemented and I found nothing, it just upset me a little bit and I wanted to see if people were having the same issue. You could be a bit nicer to people.

OW2 beta IS the final product.This beta ( more like a demo) is nothing more than a server stress test…Only things that will change are going to be some minor bug fixes…Other than that,the game is already “hardcoded” and ready for launch…This “beta” is exactly what your are going to be playing/buying on launch day
Your entire first post implied that you only decided to participate in beta based off of the assumption that you would have your cosmetics from your XB1 account, and not that you had any real interest in helping test the new maps, heroes, etc. that are the actual point of this test.

Of course I had interest I’ve still played it over the past few days, my post didn’t imply that at all? I’m frustrated cause the only reason I’m still keeping a whole console was my progress and rare cosmetics on Overwatch and I was excited at the thought of being able to finally get rid of said console. The game comes out in literally 3 months, I expected them to have all the features built in like most other betas do, including cross progression bc it wouldn’t make sense to not also test a BRAND NEW FEATURE to the games that many people have been requesting, but that was Blizzard’s choice to make.
