Can we add a cross-platform to the game

like I understand the main reasons why there ISN’T a cross platform in overwatch, or at least to an extent

the aim is better on PC, something something, unfair to console

Stuff like that

But I think it could be fun

(but for the most part I just want to play with my friend on xbox who cant get a pc)

Id love to be able to play with my friend. I do it with Smite, I play on PC and he plays on Xbox :slight_smile:

By this day in age I still dont understand why Microsoft hasn’t developed crossplay for pc and xbox. I for one would buy xbox exclusives just to play them on my pc.

I switched to pc after years on console. I was only (high)platinum on ps4 and havent played ranked on pc yet,im ok but not better then gold i guess. Its really different.
Widow especially. On console you lose 90% with widow on your team,on pc most widows can hit stuff,many are deadly. Zen was my most played on ps4,on pc i dont stand a chance.
Crossplay would be really unfair,but many players on console use mouse n keyboard anyway…now that im not a poor controller user anymore i gotta say “why not” lol.

its unfair to everyone lol

If you play console and you hate Widows you would hate PC widows even more

and if you play PC and have to deal with people who already react slowly console players having already by default slower turn speed(idk how people mess with their sensitivity) just makes it worse for them too

The only one that makes sense is xbox and PS4 crossplay

I don’t know why people don’t get this

as long as competitive mode is separate i’m fine with it

I believe it has more to do with money and updates than the skill/advantage side of it.

I know there’s the whole thing of, “Boy, Widow,” but don’t Rein, Winston, Brig, and Doom (maybe Pharah too) feel way better to to play on console?

They did, a long time ago. They even made it a policy to require portability (buy it once and play on both platforms) in all first-party games for a while. They can’t really force third-party developers to do the same, though… and the idea didn’t really seem to catch on with players at the time anyway.

True but alot of 3rd party companies make their games for pc anyway. I wont get butthurt if I dont get the next new Lego game. I just want to be able to play the exclusives. “I know about MCC finally coming to pc”

You mean the xbox play anywhere titles that do this exact thing

Well that and there are aimbox and wallhacks on pc, something consoles don’t have to deal with.

Also fun fact…the ggear developers tested to see if there was a skill difference between their pc and xbox pkayers…they foumd there wasnt one really

I don’t see any reason not to make cross-platform, they would just have to separate kb+m players from controller players similar to how it’s done in GTA Online

As long as they went the Paladins route and made competitive mode only match you against players using the same input method as you it would be fine
