Credits / Overwatch Coins SCAM

This has been said. It will be said again.

I didnt buy the battle pass because i was the lucky one and really looked into it.

THE COINS ON THE BATTLE PASS ARE ORANGE. In the actual hero gallery, theyre WHITE. The Overwatch Coins are ORANGE. They intentionally made people THINK that these were premium currency (which is what every other game with battle passes offer). They are not. They are old, worthless currency to SCAM you into purchasing this battle pass.

DO NOT BUY IT unless theres something you actually want from the battle pass. Save your money until they realize they did us wrong.

You get 1500 from the free pass anyways. the payed pass only gives 500 more. They also don’t look the same and it says credits and not coins.

Honestly there’s a massive case here for “bait and switch”. The symbols are enough alike that if it was a trade marked logo any court would find the differences are not enough to not be considered intentional imitation. I.e if I made the Nabisco logo a square instead of an oval any court would find that I was intentionally trying to use consumer recognition to sell my product off as another.

The issue is the battle pass shows them as orange, not white. Its meant to trick new people.

The two icons are almost identical, only seperated by color and some edges on the outside that are hard to see when small.

The man separator is color, and they colored it orange. the same as the coins.

Just because the fine print says otherwise doesn’t make it right.

This is very scammy considering the big push were the addition of these to the system.

it’s made some head lines to.

we are getting both i think but this currency can actually help people in the long run

It baffles me as to why they can’t just combine them and settle one a single currency that can be used to buy everything.

Why in the name of everything holy does it have to be separate?

You should contact a lawyer about this. If you believe it to be a scam then I’m sure that lawyer will get rich suing Blizzard.

No but really, No lawyer would touch this because Blizzard has their butt covered. It’s scummy but not a real scam.
