Watching a ton of streamers and regular people flexing to tank and support because of DPS wait time, I have this idea that might help. Blizzard can implement a credit/points system. You accumulate points when you play support/tank (like a price) and you can have shorter queue times when queuing for DPS based on how many points/credits you have.
Can you at least explain to OP why you feel that way rather than just saying itâs bad? Itâs a suggestion thatâs been tossed around a lot recently.
If you prioritize certain dps players (the ones that would get a âhigh points scoreâ) it also means that you would de-prioritise the rest of the dps players.
So youâll have a situation where dps only players would have to wait even longer
and youâd also have a group of players, queuing for something they donât wanna play, simply to get the priority line.
If you consider that role q was demanded time and time again from the very wise ow community so that finally people would actually pick the role they wanted and play it.
yep⌠played ~1300 comp games at gold/plat and never met 5 DPS⌠most of time it was 132 231 or 222⌠wierd things like 141 were alot rarer than leavers xD
PC EU region
They also assumed lower tank times and free lootboxes would affect the q times, but it didnât. You can assume all day long, but at the end of the day itâs pretty obvious whatâs happening.
You can continue making vague replies about âassumptionsâ instead of stating your opinion.
Letâs just remind everyone that role q was implemented so that dps players can finally stop being forced to play brig and zarya and the rest of GOATS.
But here you are thinking that asking for dps players to be forced to play tank for âgood boy pointsâ, is a brilliant idea.
If you canât see the insanity in this, I canât help ya.
This will just create more bad matches. DPS players already switch to Tank/Support queues to get faster games and proceed to not care if they win or lose the match because itâs not impacting their main role SR. The only way this would work is if we revert role SR and go back to one number.
Thanks for the feedback, I understand your points of view. My point is people are flexing anyway, just to get a match and play, so why not reward them to play in the most demanded role faster. Throwers are already being (kind of) handled by Blizzard so they should not being part of this discussion. Thing is, other than allowing the player to choose an SR range to play against so if the range is bigger the time is shorter (that also will create bad unfair games) there is no solution for the high demand of DPS role other than wait in queue for a long time.
True I really dont think there is either. Unless the game is restructured to assemble more of a deathmatch element. Dps will always outnumber majority of the player base so yeah
