So as of the start of Season 18, I’ve been unable to clear more than a single game or two of anything without the game crashing to desktop, with the error reporter popping up.
It is not my processor, I just had all that stuff checked and it’s brand new.
It’s not my computer either, because literally hours before the new season I was in a massive push to do drives, and not a single crash after nearly 30 hours in one sitting. (Yeah I pulled an allnighter)
It’s not anything on here either because all my other games run perfectly fine for hours… Hell even days at a time with zero issue. It only started when S18 began.
I’m also losing a metric ton of endorsement level and getting locked out of things because of a problem introduced by y’all; can I get any sort of confirmation that there’s a potential client problem?
same issue here just randomly crashes, i know it isnt my pc as i was playing a lot earlier, but my specs are intel i9 14900kf, 32gb ddr5 and a RTX 4070 super
Updating my NVIDIA driver manually was what actually fixed my crash problems (first time in well over 5 years that driver update was actually the solution to any issue)
The problem only started happening after new season update (on Steam) so make sure you updated your drivers.
Beyond that you can try the other fixes (verify game cache integrity, delete the battle.net cache folder , close other programs, reinstall game etc)
I’ve been updated for ages, repaired, all that. :') I keep my GPU drivers updated manually because of MH Wilds. That’s a whole different rant though lmao
And yea I’m a 14900k, 64gb DDR5, and a 16GB vram 5070 Ti. Bios has been updated for ages, instability issue isn’t an issue either because the processor is brand new out of the box, etc.
I have the same issue since the start of the season.
crashed on Bnet so I installed on steam , but same crashes , often at the end of the game but sometimes before and even in training
I ve check drivers, temperatures, closed overlay etc etc etc , nothing changed
I’m having the same problem since the season update. I haven’t gotten to play a single game. And I just paid for the ulitmate battlepass which I cannot make any progress on. What is going on here, Blizzard?!
I have an AMD GPU, and every single other game works just fine, like Overwatch did until … the update.
14900K, ASUS Z790 TUF w/latest bios, 64GB DDR5-6400, RX 7900XT
Edited to add: I have done everything from clean remove (DDU) + reinstall graphics drivers, scan and repair OW files, uninstall and reinstall game. Nothing works.
However, I can play OW on a streaming game service (although it sucks for trying to play comp and occasionally graphics get poor, probably because of streaming server load).
I have the same issue, Intel processor and 4070 gpu. Constant crashing. I sent a help ticket in as nothing I’ve tried has fixed it (switched from steam to battle.net, manual GPU driver install, BIOS drivers update)
Same issue here - haven’t made it through a single game of comp or quickplay stadium. Reinstalled graphics drivers, reinstalled overwatch. System was running fine during competitive drives at the end of Season 17 last week.
ive got the same exact issue, could play just fine before and now i cant play a match without crashing, pretty bummed that the devs havent fixed this a whole day into the season
I don’t even crash to desktop. My whole computer just crashes… I can sometimes play for a few hours, sometimes as soon as I launch the game. This is extremely frustrating
Same issue here, usually close to the end of a match and then crash to desktop with blizz crash reporter window. I9 14900k, 64gb ram, Asus tuf 5080. Never had an issue with ow2 crashing before, and now it’s every other game or so. Losing rank, and keep getting put into time-out because the system thinks I’m leaving. No issues with any other games. Keep sending crash reports every time it happens.
Update,
I put in a help ticket and explained that ive done everything they suggest to include reinstalling the game, checking files, updating driver etc. And if that didnt work to contact a local computer expert. Im pretty sure the problem is the buggy update not the computer.
Same issue, similar specs (MSI laptop). The fun part is that the error first happened shortly after S17 started, then disappeared after the update with Wuyang trial, and now it’s back (no major hardware/software changes on my side).
