Getting this issue too. Seems like a bug, can’t be this common across such a variety of HW for it not to be.

That error is coming from Windows. It means the GPU stopped responding to commands, and Windows had to reboot it. The only reason you see the error in Overwatch 2 is because the developers added a courtesy popup message instead of the game client just disappearing when the GPU driver is rebooted.

You’ll need to find a stable driver for your card. Reddit can usually help with that feedback.

Then, use Display Driver Uninstaller to remove old drivers, then install the stable one.

Please stop blaming the players and start addressing the actual issue. Many users, including myself, are experiencing the same problem since the latest update.

I’ve been playing Overwatch since 2016 and never had this issue before — it only started after the recent patch. Isn’t it enough that the game has suffered from poor balance decisions and unnecessary changes? Now the game isn’t even stable?

We really miss the days when Jeff Kaplan was leading — things felt more focused and cared for. Please take responsibility and fix what’s broken instead of ignoring your loyal player base.

Yeah sadly this doesn’t work either.

Unfortunately, since this is an issue happening on the system and isn’t something the game can trigger on its own, it may be time to seek out the assistance of a PC technician. There are some on Reddit, Microsoft’s forums, or you might be able to find someone in person.
