So, I have a question. What would the issue be with it kicking me completely off the game to where it gives me the log in screen, yet my internet is still good? I ask because it is extremely frustrating to be trying to play with friends, and then all of a sudden I get kicked completely out of the match and the game wants to me to sign back in. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

I’ve had the same issue since the previous patch, or even the one before.
I got randomly disconnected from the game 5 times so far. So this is obviously getting on my nerves.
So, ok, I won’t get my 250 points back, but at least do something so I’m not tagged as a “leaver”, and so this doesn’t count as the first “warnings” I get before being banned from ranked games.
I mean, do something to erase the “leaver behavior” thing from our account since it’s obviously not our fault in the first place.
Same. Ever since today’s patch I get booted back to my desktop, and when I rejoin it gives me a leaver warning. Happens consistently during FFA comp and in the 2 comp games I’ve played today. I can get a match complete without the system kicking me.
Same for me. Patched today, and Overwatch crashed on the first game right after hero selection. SR drop and suspended for 10 mins. Ouch… No issues with internet either at this time.
For me, it wasn’t even immediate, and I usually stop after the second time, sometimes not until it does it three times total. Like, if this is happening a lot, Blizz needs to look into it and do everything to fix it. Things like this are causing people to be penalized for the game deciding to crash.
This just happened again… Twice in an hour. Very frustrating in a ranked game. Gonna try to not play until another patch comes out.
So, it happened 4 times today. I’m pissed. I can’t even play a game because it decided to crash to the point where the app still has me logged in, but the game says log in afterwards. It is extremely frustrating for this to happen.
Just happened to me as well and it has been a problem of mine for quite awhile now. I’ve done all their help options in the “Disconnected from Blizzard Services” page, but nothing has helped. Overwatch is the only game i get disconnected from, so I know its not my internet. I love the game, but playing it usually ends in me getting disconnected multi-able times.
before anniversary update:
over watch runs fine, 60+ ping
after anniversary update:
half the time overwatch just crashes before i can log in
the remaining times it crashes before i can finish a game
half of the crashes also crash the blizzard client
the overwatch servers thought i was still in a game after i logged back in
this is just pathetic, every other company manages to at least keep the game playable with every update but somehow overwatch is always either disconnecting, 300+ ping or broken in some other way.
