my cpu is at a steady 99% (which it NEVER is) in ow2. i also average 50fps in menus and i currently get at max 27.
everything is set to low. and frames are stuttering.

Can’t help you without a DxDiag.
i know my graphics don’t technically meet min requirements but i was averaging 45-60fps in ow1 and i was averaging about 35-45 steady on ow2 for a while.
i have also been having a massive fps drop every time i ult with widow, just her ult does this and it’s been happening for like a month now.

There’s some bug that makes cpu spike to max cpu usage in the menu, for some reason. It happens roughly half of the time I start OW and it seems it remained in OW2. It usually subsides after running the game a few minutes for me.

Unfortunately, with the GPU not meeting the requirements, it’s likely the cause of the issue. The game is developed for the hardware listed on the minimum specs page.

thank you for letting me know, i’m assuming this is the real culprit behind the fps drop/cpu spike bc i’ve been maintaining stable and smooth fps/cpu usage for months on this laptop that doesnt meet min requirements (other than widow ult, that started a few weeks ago)

Here is what I did to fix the low fps issue. Yes I tried driver updates, checked my CPU temps all the shebang, but after five days of inconsistent fps where the game would run fine one day and piss poor the next. I decided to try to delete the cache file and it did the trick, hope this helps yall, I was just surprised I was able to solve my issue since the internet was unhelpful. hopefully I just made the net a little more resourceful.
