Country/region locked. Can’t change phone number to login

Been playing since October 11th. Never played OW1. Love OW2 tho. Last night it prompts use QR code. I do and it’s asking me for a phone number requirement. Only problem is that it’s set for Australia +61 phone number code. I’ve never even been to Australia. I put in a ticket to change my country/region (can’t understand for the life of me why they don’t let the user do that). It’s been 18 hours and I haven’t gotten a response yet. Anyone know how long this takes? I’ve worked 72 hours this week and I’d like to get some games in this weekend. But it’s not looking like that’ll happen

Same with me. Been living in the US but I can’t use my american phone number. I’ve been playing overwatch 1 and 2 since launch but Got promoted with a QR code starting yesterday out of nowhere so I can’t play anymore.
