I think this might be the most delusional naive statement ive seen on these forums yet.
OW2 is more team deathmatch shooter than anything resembling a team based game nowadays. The only way youre gonna get thos is to 5v stack

I never said this, i LOVE ow when its played as its meant to, as a team.
I also never said this, altho current counterwatch is horrendous for tank players unfotunately its a 5v5 problem but thats another topic.
I only duo or trio que personally but yeah anything outside stacking snd maybe 1 in 99 games youll get actual teamwork otherwise its juat glorified team deathmatxh
You’ve basically figured it out. Stacking is the only really enjoyable way to play the game. Attacking team lost in OPs replay because they weren’t working as a team, they straight up deathmatched it, wasted their ults and didn’t play the heroes that could’ve won it for them on one of OW2’s hardest last points to cap.

5v5 is enjoyable and fast paced.
It becomes painful when you try to go against the format.
Easy to sit and type on forum. Until you face the team and their rank.

But acting like your orgional statement that if you try then others on your team will os straight up delusion.
And yes counter swap is terrible, you might have got lucky where you tram swaps to support you or counter the other tank bit for that game theres litterally 0000’s of games where the tank is basically not able to play the game because their team would rather play for themselves and npt the team
Outside 5 stack OW2 = deathmatch
5 stack = still generally good time
Top 500 team goes in uncoordinated really makes me question whether they are actually t500

If it is. Why are OWC player tanks swapping. Please don’t tell me they are Pro’s and we are causal’s. A win is a win. Trying to win is important.

The tanks are the one who control. If they swap, the team gets value.
This logic does not apply to 99% of the players. Most of them just get up and hit the role que option. Unless I misunderstood you.

No one body wants 6v6. that match would just have been double the time. Nothing else would have changed.

the only thing they had to do was combo shatter visor and if they wanted to be on the safe side, go kiri. It was a free win they threw away because that’s waht qp is. Basic level gameplay that people can’t figure out.
As a mauga his shatter does not affect me if I charge. I was waiting for that but he did not try it.

Not everyone plays with stacks. I have always solo qued. Most players solo que or max 2 party.
You want us to take the major hit so a very small part of the community can have chill games ?.

Im not sure what you were expecting, this is just a typical forum post (im just as bad at it sometimes) you wanted everyone to come and agree with you, we dont (and rightly so imo)
OW 2 is not a team game anymore outside of 4/5 stacks and thinking that the randoms you que into will actually want to play as team is setting yourself up for disappointment

Hi, I was a tank main in OW1, I no longer play tank except very rare occasions in OW2. This is even with me swapping to counter enemy picks, this is with me knowing what tank to swap to in what situation, this is with me knowing how to even dance around hard counters in the other roles with the tanks I pick.
It’s not fun at all to constantly have to swap from one hero to the next to get the tiniest shred over an enemy tank. It’s not thrilling gameplay, it’s not interesting, it’s boring and dull and worse than double shields. No one has fun with the constant swapping, there are jokes from top 500 streamers about how the game is a 4v4 with the two tanks chilling in their spawn and mind gaming one another by just swapping from one tank to the next.
Yes because i game thar changed my life, the game that has a lot of nostlagic value for me over time has been slowly made into an embrassment of what it once was.
I dont necessarily dislike 5 v 5 but i think couple with numerous other decisions theyve made they’ve ruined the team aspect of OW outside of actual stacks and organised play.
