Counters for Brigitte

I was wondering who and what exactly counters her? I’m having a hard time playing her, and I’m having a hard time going against her as well. I mainly play D.VA and Moira now, and I’m starting to learn other heroes so I can be more useful to my team. But Brigitte i don’t really know what counters her at all when I’m being demolished by in FFA and QP

Pharah. Not much Brigitte can do to hurt me in the air, and her smaller shield is even less effective at keeping rockets from hitting her than Rein’s.

Pharah, Junkrat, Bastion, Doomfist (this one requires discipline and timing), Zarya, Roadhog, 76 (don’t let her close range), McCree (don’t let her close range), Widow, Orisa.

Pretty much everyone with high movement and high damage. Pharah is pretty much he hard counter since u can pretty easily take out her shield in one clip and she r ally can’t hit you unless your in a tight tunnel or in a building

only pharah and bastion with a shield is good against her.

Yeah, if Briggs stand still. But she doesn’t. Within 10 meters, she dominates everything, and that should not be a thing. And you say “don’t get close”. Most heroes MUST get close to be effective. Briggs is too powerfull.

McCree does not need to get close, 76 does not need to get close, Bastion does not need to get close but even if she did get close she cannot kill him before he shreds her, Doomfist takes timing and positioning but his burst and ability to disorient her can displace her so much that when done right will destroy her, Zarya can bypass her sheild via her right click and can hard counter shield bash for her and any other target, Widow never has to worry about Brigg, just has to take an off angle from her team and pot shot her, Orisa shreds brig’s shield and can push her back using halt AND counter her stun via fortify, Roadhog can hook and pull her into his team.

You have to THINK about counterplay. Not just hope characters can effortlessly counter all the time.

“McCree does not need to get close”.
You serious? He can’t take Briggs shield down. Her stun is faster then his, she manages to survive fan the hammer.

All of these and reaper. He melts her like any other shield/high hp enemy’s. Pretty basic kit too so you can pick him up and punish her all day long if she’s that big of a problem.

That God mode button I’m sure he keeps in his back pocket probably comes In handy :rofl:

Roadhog does NOT counter Brigitte after she’s ulted. He barely ticks her health at all, and when she’s busy flailing him away and backing off, her shield will absorb 4 of his shots, and she’ll be gone. If he pursues alone, the team is usually back before he can actually kill her. If he pursues her while healing, she can bash the health gain away, and flail him back again.

You do not need to take her shield down. Take off angles. Her shield does not encompass her entire body nor does it curve like orisa’s. She cannot focus you AND others at different angles at the same time.

Fan the hammer is not needed when you can burst for a minimum of 210 in the first second alone via body shots only AT RANGE.

McCree is not suppose to be played like reaper.

That barrier buster known as trash mouse (who any shield tank loathes) counters Brigette

Phamercy destroys her
Reaper can utilize his new ability tweaks and wreck her
Junkrat can out DPS her and escape
Bastion melts her
Roadhog can out sustain/DPS her
Orisa can out sustain/DPS her
76, Widowmaker and McCree can outrange her heavily and McCree can utilize stun and roll in close combat. 76 can conveniently outrun her and Widow can hook away
Doomfist can outplay/DPS her
Zarya if she has high energy. Otherwise she can get outplayed heavily
