Australia is stalling on a lot of climate-related things
We currently have a mouthpiece of Rupert Murdoch as our Prime Minister. Election next year, so maybe there’s hope.
We do have a lot of solar power, though.
From what I hear, you could have more though.
Like alot more.
For sure. If there’s one thing we get a lot of down here, it’s sunlight.
I heard about the Emu war. So for sure.
I have a better chance of winning the lottery then them cancelling OW2. Pretty much anyone talking about OW2 being cancelled is either deluded or knowingly lying because it is simply not in the realm of possibility. Delayed, sure, but cancelled, no chance.
We had a better k/d ratio vs the Emu’s so I wanna say that we won.
…They lost two “villages” to the Emu by the end of it. (Plus the cost of all the missed bullets.)
(And Emu were still there in the end.)
So pretty sure that’s a no.
(Like a Defense team running away in a 2CP map in a way.)
Yes Australia and acting on climate change is a big no no
It doesn’t help that the vast majority of media is owned by NewsCorp (Murdoch) while we have massive billionaire parasites (whom I shall not name) who spend billions of dollars on election campaigns to siphon votes away from the main opposition party to prevent them from implementing any form of climate policies if they were to win the election
I could honestly keep going but Australia is rife with corruption unfortunately and climate change is just one of the many issues we have, also this is the OW forums
So basically the same as here and here.
Pretty much
It doesn’t work that way in the USA. The two political parties that have monopoly control over all higher chambers are not actually government entities. They are private parties, and their “primary elections” are not actually elections. They are free to choose their candidates however they please. These two parties essentially cheat, making sure that the candidates that both parties run in the general election (the one that actually is an election) are acceptable to the powers that be, which in the USA is the wealthy and the corporations. Donald Trump was an aberration. The Democratic party has protections against a populist candidate winning (called superdelegates), whereas the republican party is more vulnerable. You can count on the republicans tightening that up in the coming years.
Both parties have propaganda arms. For the democrats, those are called New York Times, Washington Post, CNN, MSNBC, etc. For the republicans those are New York Post, Wall Street Journal, Fox News, etc. Or, more accurately, these outlets are owned by and serve the oligarchs, and the oligarchs also control the political parties.
Things to look up, if you are interested are…
The democratic party was sued for fraud over their 2016 presidential primary. They weren’t sued for anything regarding election rigging, because the court does not recognize the primaries as elections. They were sued for taking money with the pretense of evenly representing all the candidates, when they did not. Their defense, and I kid you not, is that they have the right to choose their candidate any way they please, including hashing it out in smoke-filled rooms, and that they are not obligated to even hold elections. And they are correct.
A Princeton University study found that the desires of the economic bottom 90% of the population have no say whatsoever in which policies become law. They found that the most popular policy ever has about 30% chance of becoming law, and the least popular policy ever has about 30% chance of becoming law. But for the top 10%, they can completely kill policy they don’t like, and policy they do like has about 60% chance of becoming law. You’ll find a description of this study if you search youtube for “corruption is legal in america.”
President Carter has said the USA is an oligarchy, not a democracy, and he is correct.
I would agree that Bobby needs to step down and someone else take the reins. Activision has been Garbo from the start and ever since they took over Blizzard
PERIOD.
World of Warcraft use to be really fun, then when Activision stepped in. they ran it into the ground. Just like when they bought up Guitar Hero and did the same.
Maybe the State of California needs to break up their sub divisions and turn them over to responsible owners such as themselves again. Every game Activision gets ahold of, they are scummy and destroy it.
They could do that… but people will pull a Kellogg bot on them
Kellogg is going through the same “situation” of firing striking workers and hiring new ones. Well, people just flooded their HR departments with crap applications (applied but no intention of showing up), with some using bots to do it.
So yeah, if they do fire people, expect people to just set up a buttload of bots just to destroy Blizzard’s HR department with trash applications.
actually no the walkout/protests are legally protected by federal law but kotick needs to go this trumper brian bulatao forgets some stuff is legally protected but trumpers dont see it that way
This might be true bc it’s Cali, but tmk federal law doesn’t protect strikes until you’re unionized.
it wouldnt make sense too but i can see if it if the devs refuse to work or all quit or go on a long strike. they’ll just hire new interns or people willing to work for less maybe? still keep the overwatch IP but it will be a shell of its former self or terrible. i mean with all the bad news, walk-outs and retaliation dont expect overwatch 2 to be in a finished state if they try and release it early right?
They should leave instead of getting fired. That would be just another kick in the a-- if they fire them.
They can’t afford to fire them. Not all at least.
There may be payment cuts or something like that.
There can be loophole called “unpaid vacation”. When you do not pay your workers, but you didn’t fire them either.
