Could Slenderman Save Widowmaker's Mind?

What makes Slenderman so scary in terms of power is that he’s an influence-based entity. If he’s in your head, you’re technically supposed to be compliant to whatever he makes you believe.
But if Talon is already in your head, then maybe he can restore you back to normalcy.
It would be really interesting if both influences worked in harmony since both are evil in nature. Which in turn would make Widow unstoppable if the combined psychoses gave her a malevolent drive and otherworldly perception.

Will:
Dark intentions that come straight from Talon. When such ideas fall into the wrong hands, the death of innocent and peacekeeping lives will inevitably follow.

“A single death could change everything.”

Perception:
Slenderman’s influence on an elite marksman like Widowmaker could amplify her sense of sight to inhuman levels. Her Infrared helmet would be rendered useless if Slenderman’s dimensional vision was given to her.

:musical_note: I see you… :musical_note:

Arguably, both influences could overload her senses to the point of regaining her original mind, or completely losing it. Either way, Talon couldn’t care less if their brainwashing experiment was overthrown by another force, as long as that force was making her do their dirty work.

But that begs the question that kinda freaks me out to ask:
Whose dirty work- Talon’s or Slenderman’s?

Hey kiddo, why are you making threads about slenderman on the Overwatch forums? Is this some edgy Jr. High thing or something?

It came about after my 7-11 thread. Just a general question that got me thinking about the theory of one influence canceling out another, if at all possible. Best example is Widowmaker.

Now I want an Slender Reaper skin. I’m be Reinhard for that. RichC likes beware!

I’m not trying to scare anybody though. If I made you paranoid for the rest of the night, then I’m sorry lol

What? Too spoopy for you?

Here, have a cute Cthulhu. Maybe it’ll make you feel not so uncomfortable about Lovecraftian lore.
Or maybe not. Just let me know.

Nah, I’m good. Slenderman doesn’t really bother me as much as Lovecraftian themes and art. That stuff has given me strange nightmares in the past. I did have my first sleep paralysis dream about a month ago. That was agonizing. It didn’t help that I was dreaming of a demon behind me. Ugh. 99% of the time I don’t dream or dream of happy things.

I see. Ironically enough, my sister has two diplomas in psychology, so I’m used to hearing about strange occurrences involving dreams.
(H.P Lovecraft is also one of my favorite authors)

Most of the time, when people rarely dream, but only dream of fearful things, they have something they need to overcome. Not specifically a fear they have, but an ongoing problem in their daily life. This could be more of an inner problem involving one’s self, such as “I need to stop doing x” or “I wish I was like x
Other times, it has to do with life situations that can cause subconscious anxiety.

The demon being behind you could be the representation of something you haven’t completed yet. An achievement that either went unnoticed, or simply hasn’t been gained. Promotions, graduations, or even winning an important contest are good examples of this.

To compress these nightmares, it’s safe to avoid HP Lovecraft, and definitely this thread. Sorry again about all of this, and I hope they stop soon
