Or is Overwatch too much of a direct competitor? After seeing Dragon Ball featured in Fortnite, it seems like anything is possible. We’ve seen other gaming franchises featured as well, like Kratos and Aloy, though they’re not from online shooter games.
How likely would Overwatch be?
When in the last 2 years has this game bewn a direct competitor
If anything apex is the closer threat

Well that’s the question I’m asking. Is it a direct competitor?
Apex is obviously closer, not just because it’s more popular currently, but also more similar (it being a BR and all).
Maybe, but at the same time, who wants to collab with ACTIVISION-BLIZZARD?

Well Microsoft wants to do more than collab.
Sony had their characters featured in Fortnite. I could easily see Microsoft trying to get Blizzard characters in Fortnite if/when they finalize the Blizzard acquisition.
It’s not a serious competitor, but fortnite would be dumb to help overwatch become a competitor
They would already be in their game if they wanted the publicity that bad
If Overwatch was at 2017 levels of popularity, and Blizzard was at 2017 levels of reputation sure.
But the times, they are a changin’.

Unless it is mercy d.va or genji nobody would even care even if it happens.
Afaik OW had only 1 cameo with tracer in a movie that nobody remembers and that was when the game was still popular.

Ready Player One. I remember that movie lol
Lots of popular content creators for fortnite came from OW so I’d say they are competitors.
