Could I get banned for a voice line macro?

When playing McCree I really want to say “I’m your Huckleberry” every time I shoot, fan the hammer, move, reload, roll, flashbang, ult, and melee.

Don’t think macros are allowed.
they don’t let you asign one button to two actions in settings so that’s a no

Macro-ing is a bannable offence.
However if no one can prove it…

One button press = one action is the general rule. So yes, you might get banned for it.

I’m honestly most worried about being detected by their anti cheat for either running a macro program or simply for a pattern detected in my times between particular keypresses.

And if I WERE detected, the real question is whether they’d ban me for something harmless to gameplay. not to people’s ears though

Unfortunately it it is bannable, they look for multiple actions happening from 1 press. Macro should be easily detectable since it’s simple binding. Even if it is for something as harmless as a voice line, it’s not allowed. I remember a while back someone posted that they got in trouble for a chat macro, to quick post in chat.

In worst case you probably get marked for spamming. But you could just keybind it to your mouse.

Voice lines are fun, but don’t be that one guy that literally never stops.

That’s what I’m doing at the moment. It works decently. It messes with my aim a bit though, putting pressure on the left side of my mouse to Huckleberry.

I find team mates voice line spamming funny, especially the really funny ones. I play characters with boring voice lines but the few times I play torb I do like to use his ridiculous voice lines.

Oh, honey. I’ve been doing my own voiceline shtick for over a year now and have never once received an account action for it.

If Blizz thought it was that much of a problem, they’d have increased the cooldown between emotes by now. They’re 100% fine with it.

For the last time… I’m TOO HOT FOR YOU!?

I never said anything about account action…? When did I ever say that. I only said reported and because of that I wouldnt recommend it. XD
