Hi! I am a master low gm player, so I am by no means an expert, but I’d be happy to look at some things. I am a support and soled to my peak.
D1TD81 this is my closest match today.
2-7 w/l
So from the perspective of a low gm high masters player, who mains ana.
1.You are too jittery. Think about what the enemy is playing and how much movement it requires. If you’re in a good position then don’t move unless the enemy poses a threat. Heal and dmg.
Cooldown management. Use your cooldown with purpose, especially nade. Biotic nade can win team fights by itself. Try nading vulnerable targets like dps and supports. Only nade tanks when your team is already focusing the tank.
Not enough dmg. The name of the role is support not healer, you have a high dmg potential. No fall off and hitscan at 75 dmg per bullet. In the opening fight you could have killed one or two just by shooting and nading. When you’re not he healing shoot someone, anyone in your view must die. Lol
is this enough though, i’m currently 2-13. if i was better at this would that have made a difference, i’m also being flamed for my dog winrate. should it really be as low as it is, am i too bad at the game to be playing in high plat?
I haven’t viewed your replay so I can’t say for sure but Ana is the toughest support to play in my opinion. Maybe it’s your hero choice. Just a thought…
Here is a 33 minute in-depth review of the Kiriko gameplay.
You can skip to 31:05 for the summary, but the whole thing is worth watching.
It is important to know what our win conditions are and where we can gain the most value through our teammates and our positioning.
Here is review of the Ana game on Shambali. The higher rez version should be out in an hour or so.
After the first round you can kind of just skip to 43 mins in and watch from there. Its up to you.
I haven’t gotten to the ana review yet.
The kiriko one though, it’s great. not only explaining everything, and how to get a better outcome out of situations but explaining what the others should’ve done aswell. i just wanted to note that our junkrat had 0 eliminations at switch, can’t remember if he had 0 at the end of game.
I’m also incredibly thankful you took the time out of your day to make these, absolute legend. You could without a doubt become a big overwatch influencer doing vod reviews and helping other players.
21:42 i used the suzu because i knew i should’ve healed him but I was getting pretty tired of getting insignificant kills, i had tried to tell the rein that if he pushes past and tries to get the supports i’d suzu sleep/anti but he didn’t really care. don’t know if it would’ve worked but i was just trying to look for anything that would maybe let us get the others. they were also all dead so i tried to see if i could catch someone respawning before i died because i knew death was unavoidable, they would’ve just chased.
If you are solo q you have to focus solely on yourself. You can only control your actions in the game.
Perhaps it wasn’t your fault you lost s fight but there’s always something you could have done different to maybe swing it in your favor.
Also it isn’t the hero pick, it ever is. Unless you are getting hard focused on Ana there’s no reason to swap. The easiest way to climb is either meta play or one-tricking.
Lose on Ana and learn from it so you never lose that way again(within your mistakes ofc).
What is your winrate?
If you’re new to plat then it takes some time to adjust and then improve beyond that level.
And yes. If you work on the tips I mentioned and the vod reviews others have provided you will definitely climb.
Also watch Akwards unranked to gm on Ana.
