Corona The Topical Bore

I’m wondering…

Does anyone know anyone who’s had it yet?

What was it like, what age were they, what happened? Did they recover

(hope so :/)

Edit:
I’m wondering today what are the positives of Corona?

You know, stuff like traditional family time when in Isolation, random acts of kindness.

Now schools in UK are closed, my children are rediscovering things like books, puzzles, making things, as well as bike riding.

I’m offering to deliver food parcels to the old folk in the family.

In some ways it’s bringing families closer together as we pull up the draw bridges.

68 000 people world wide recovered, if I remember correctly.
Feels kinda like a cold with fever as far as I have heard. And it’s kinda hard to breathe, like when your nose if full and you stuggle

Is it not just the flu? Pretty sure I already got that a few weeks ago. Hopefully that builds my immunity, because I am kind of done with it.

From what I’ve heard the severity of the symptoms vary. You could have a mild cough or pneumonia.

COVID-19 is not influenza, no.

It’s a flu that also heavily affects the lungs so the chances are higher to get breathing issues as opposed to the regular flu

I know there was a single case in my area, and they recovered, but are under quarantine still. The Local news was all over him lmao

Poor dude. People be acting like the infected are plague bringers. Apparently there are 183 cases here in Colorado, 2 dead. Not sure how that compares, but I wanted to go out and dine on some fine wings and apparently our governor banned sit ins at restaurants.

Pick up it is…

Hope they stood 2 metres away.

Well, they didn’t interview him, they got statements, and talked to family and friends, and locals about how they felt about it.

Also it was not the best quality bc, well small town local news

I like a small town, that’s where the best murders happen (on TV)

Dude’s never going to have a quiet life again :joy:

The viruses share very few similarities other than that they cause pneumonia. It’s far more similar to SARS; both were independent offshoots of the same ancestor virus.

It’s also about 10x more deadly than the flu.

Doing so will save lives. You don’t encourage this stuff lightly.

That’s honestly a dangerous statement to make. Most people simply recover; the only people who are dying are either really old, really young (like, infants) or have lung problems/other health issues.

EDIT: Can’t be bothered replying to a bunch of people saying the same thing. Taking safety precautions is important, but getting people all riled up and frightening them isn’t the way to do it.

16 yo in my country is being kept alive by breathing machines. most people won’t get this bad but it can get bad.

Is there many people called Nigel in your country ?

The virus is lethal if it comes to contact with humans with weak immune systems.
