Forget balancing, forget specific characters, just what say what abilities you guys think would be cool to have in game.

I’d like a vibrantly colored sentient slime mold hero to act as an active mobility counter by leaving a goo trail that slowly fades and slows opponents that cross it with inverse magnitude to their speed potential.
Edit: Thought of a passive. Leaves a big splotch of the stuff when it dies.
An ability that converts any healing done to a unit onto a damage ( within a limit )
For example you place the ability on a unity, any friendly healing on that unit instead damages them.
Aura which temporarily blocks all CC
A (personal?) shield that buffs weapon damage the more damage it blocks. Buffs also go away while the shield recharges health.
I know some or you or maybe all of you are not familiar with the manga “World Trigger”
But the manga reminds me a bit of overwatch
There are different class of roles and they fight in rank wars with two or more team opposing kinda like what we have in comp or qp
Roles are
Sniper
Gunner
Shooter
Attacker
All rounder
With the expection of a healer but they have a support abilities too

Lead bullet - slow projectile that ignores barrier but deals slow to target for 6 seconds

Meteor - a barrage of light laser that can be fired like ana grenade where you have to aim where the barrage will land.

Bag worm - totally cloaked against infrasight or sonic arrow, affects one target only

So many abilities i want to add but most of them are similar to what we already have in ow so i didnt include them and some are a bit OP.
An Anchor tank that can paint a dynamic barrier on a resource meter. Like this:
Obviously not with a thin pen though, like a thick brush to strike and draw with. Similar to Okami.
I always thought it would be cool if the Junker Queen’s ultimate were a badass motorcycle.
She could call it in from off camera and then ride around, swinging her axe around and leaving a trail of fire behind her.
the bio rifle from unreal tournament. there’s already something similar to it with torb’s molten core, just change it to acid and make the projectile do damage on hit
A trap-based hero would be something awesome. i would definitely like it, as positioning and knowledge of enemy thinking would fit me better than most of the heroes now. Some abilities could include:
Spike Trap- Similar to the functionality in Fork-Knife
Glue Trap- Slow down enemies
Spring Trap- Knock enemies away from the area it covers
A “containment field” thats like a reverse Zarya bubble. You put it on the enemy and he wont be able to deal any dmg until it’s gone (2, 3 secs sounds fair) and you can also bubble turrets, dva’s and junkrat’s ult.
Taunt.
An abillity that pulls all bullets / projectiles to the hero who used it.
All pellets from reaper will hit, every single bullet from a bastion, no matter the range, will hit.
Dragon will curve. Etc.
Aim will not move due to this, and bullets that pass through an enemy will still hit that enemy.
The hero with taunt will glow red, and only players with this hero on their screen will be affected by the taunt.
One that occurred to me would be something that I would label as an “ult”: A multi-forked lightning strike, basically making it an area-of-effect weapon. Does high damage to all in the area. Might even get through shields (unless the PTB rule otherwise). it’s basically charged from a microprocessor that acts as a Van-der-Graf generator.
Chargeable short ranged railguns that push people back. Do it. Or something that comes from beneath the ground and pushes people into the air. Do it, too.
Anything with a plant theme
don’t forget the chiller trap! it could be really funny watching people slip around trying to aim. or slipping off of the map. and it wouldn’t be too overpowered because it wouldn’t do any damage and technically they victim could still shoot at you.
we need a bouncy hero who can jump around like a frog, i think that could be a really fun character to play. if they could set up bounce pads for their team that would also be really cool.
a martial arts beat-em-up character. agile like genji but with cool twirly fighting game kicks and punches.
a recon character with an ability to see enemies through walls like in widows ult, but unlike that, only they can see, thus encouraging communication/teamwork.
a main tank with a deployable shield + mobility. i think the reason people shy away from tanks is because of how redistricted the gameplay can be. so it would be similar to orissa, but smaller and more mobile. of course they would have to be balanced so that orissa would still be relevant.
a character with drones, so it would be similar to junkrats ult, but obviously not as damaging. this could be used for healing or damage.
a hero that can cling to walls/ceilings
a flashbang ability
i’m working on drawing a main healer who has a healing bow and arrow who can pierce multiple targets at once if they line up their shot correctly. i think this could make main-healing more viable and skill based.
a grenade abillity
a homing missile ability (but the missile is slow, can be deflected and will automatically detonate after a few seconds) but if it lands it does a lot of burst damage
someone already mentioned it, but another trickster character that sets up traps. could be a slow trap, a slippery trap, a bouncy trap, a trap that marks the first person who steps on it so they’re visible through walls, etc.
some kind of energy weapon that can bounce off of walls so that targets can be hit around corners with a lot of skill
a weapon that slowly draws someone towards you. it may or may not do damage, it could be useful for controlling a single opponents movement temporarily.
a support character whos able to give a single teammate a temporary jetpack -like ability.
another character with a grappling hook or something similar.
another gliding character similar to mercy, but not a healer.
