Conversion: Support to DPS

Is it just me or are supports getting boring. I have been a support main from season 2 to 7 on PS4 and in season 8 I switched to PC and I’m still a support main, but recently I have been switching DPS and Tank more than support in both competitive and quick play. I just wanna see what other support mains think.

Edit: I just wanna state in this current season I have mained Moira and she is the closest thing to a DPS.

Wut? I’d say between Moira and Brigitte they’re more engaging than ever.

Every new hero starting with Orisa (besides Moira) has let me down a little. It feels like they’re kind of recycling abilities at this point, y’know? I love Orisa and all, and I don’t think Bridgette is half bad, but I’m still hoping for a hero whose abilities don’t mirror that of another existing hero.

I’d argue they’re more engaging than ever with the release of Moira and Brigitte ,which NEED to deal damage to heal

I’d argue between Moira and Brigitte they’re getting more DPS than ever.

If that’s what you find engaging, there’s half a roster that does it better. Not saying they aren’t fun, but they’re fun in ways that make them less like Support.

I agree with this, though I am swapping from sometimes support mainly tank, to support fully. It’s a different play style, to be sure, but I’m enjoying it!

Nobody can dictate what’s fun to you, but if I was support for that long I’m sure I’d find it starting to become stale too! Try out Moira and Brig, and if they don’t do it for you, just swap to DPS. You paid for the game, play and enjoy what you like!

Sitting on any role for over a year is bound to be boring to a non-pro player, don’t bring specifics in to it…

If you played Mercy and Ana I could see why. Everybody walks over Ana, and with Mercy you feel like you do nothing useful to the fight ever.

Do they really need to be? We already have supports who play like supports. Their names are Lucio, Ana & Mercy.

Zen, Moira & Brig offer an alternative playstyle for supports, and when you have multiple playstyles to pick from that in turn creates engagement.
