Controller Sensitivity Ramps PLEASE

Can we have custom sensitivity ramps instead of just the three options (dual zone, linear, exponential)?

Now that cross play is live and active, and controller players are being exposed to more aim-assist-less games, I think some more control over the joystick aim functionality is fairly in order. The 3 current options are extremely limited and most controller players have very specific preferences. A custom ramp would be very very greatly appreciated to slightly even the playing field!

Edit: I’m a controller player on PC, and have always wanted this setting, but I think the game needs it now more than ever.

This sounds like a very good improvement idea for everyone. Even PC players would like it a lot if their console teammates were able to finesse their mechanical stuff

That’s a really good idea. They should definitely look into that. I’d also like for them to even consider increasing the max sensitivity.

I think with the current options the max is pretty high, but definitely if we had the ability to customize it precisely then making just the edges faster would be nice too!

Why there is no aim assist when a console player queues up with a pc player?

I don’t like it either, but one of the speculation is that aim assist feature could be abused by other PC’s who decide to bypass that system (i.e. plugging in controller to read as console then whipping out MnK afterwards).

Are there other games that have some sort of momentum features? Let’s say once you let go of the joystick, the aim movement will continue for a certain, but very small amount before coming to a complete halt.

I remember that there were talks about movement acceleration for OW2. I wonder if they still plan to go that route, and if so, how they may look into console sensitivity.

I’ve never heard of that. Might be interesting but for me it’s more about the ramp. The instantaneous threshold of dual zone is in a terrible spot for me that makes playing Widow impossible. I need a smoother transition to full speed closer to the edge.

When creating crossplay in a PvP based shooter you got to decide who will whine the loudest and make your decisions from there.

The hardcore PC players who view console players as a subspecies and do not want them in their games. They moan about console players never being able to keep up.
… in quickplay and arcade.

The casual PC players who think aim assist means aimbot and will cry about it being unfair when a console player dares to kill them.
… in quickplay and arcade.

The Console players moaning that they can’t keep up without aim assist.

After throwing the console players to the sacrificial wolves to boost their numbers, as is tradition, they return to catering to the PC players for the rest of the quarter.

When OW2 comes out and there is a larger focus on PVE, kick back and watch them throw all PVPers under the bus for the cash cows and whales that are PVE casual gamers.

As is tradition.

Many of those problems would be solved by the very simple and quick solution I’m suggesting. A sensitivity ramp is not aim assist, and also would help controller players on both console and PC keep up mechanically.

Exactly controller aim assist is not even stronger than a mouse  whoever thinks aim assist is = aimbot are a punch of value of crap mind

I still don’t think it would be fair to introduce aim assist into lobbies with PC players. They have no assist, why should we? We just need as much control as they have via joystick settings such as a custom sensitivity ramp.
