I am so confused cause I have heard mixed things so let me make this as clear as possible. If I connect a controller to a pc and play with other pc players do I get aim assist or no, I know I definitely won’t get it for comp but what about things like custom games.
I use controller on PC and you get zero aim assist so it’s going to take a lotta practice for you to get accurate with your shots
Even after a year of me playing with controller I still struggle sometimes but it’s definitely doable and I’ve had games where I’ve gotten some crazy POTGs
Set your horizontal and vertical sensitivity to 50% I’ve found that works best imo
Dang, that is going to be hard to get used to, thanks for the quick response first time using the forums lol, I gotta connect a controller to my pc for my schools ow2 tournament so ig from now until then I’m going to practice with no aim assist lol
If this was the only thread on the forums that someone saw, they would think we were so positive and helpful.

if you play tank or a non aim-intensive support stick to controller, but if you play dps/aim-intensive support you should try mouse. learn what dpi your mouse has, and multiply that by your in-game sensitivity, the resulting number is your “edpi” which is an easy way to figure out peoples sensitivities without knowing their individual dpi and sens. get a sensitivity that makes your edpi equal around 3200-6000, anything higher or lower will be too hard for a mouse beginner on hitscan

You’re probably better off with MNK. Speaking from console controller perspective, I feel like the right settings for some characters feel worse for others on top of the fact that AA can mess you up at the worst of times.
Dubious. Last season there was a guy IN COMP saying they were using controller on PC. The replay was a literal joke. Flagged as sus/cheating by majority of lobby. Same goes for all crossplay lobbies (generalization of m+kb pcmr vs. thumbdumbers).
Crossplay and controller usage is a disaster. It throttles the I/O of the entire lobby making things feel desync’d, laggy, and clunked out. It serves only to consolidate the remaining active players (just like their artificial rank inflation). It was meant as a flex of their tech (“because we can”) just like their rigging patents. Either way it’s not fair and bad for gaming.
We need an opt-out.
