Continuing trend of Brigitt"A"

Is it weird that every new hero other than Doomfist meaning every new female is pronounced with an “a” sound at the end?

Whatchu got against “A” at the end? Are you discriminating the letter A? Wanna fight?

No, all I’ve noticed with her is she’s another support, and is a unique hybrid character, and fun to play.

ie the things that matter.

lol no, I just think is it really a coincidence that it has happened with 5 female characters in a row?

Hmm, it’s a normal thing in my country that female names are ending with an a. I never knew it’s weird xd

Jeff pronounced it wrong. It’s actually Breegeett-eh. Not with an A sound at the end.

It’s the same here but I just mean it as game design, dont they find it weird XD
I mean I guess since Mei, Mercy, Widowmaker, and Tracer were the only different ones it makes sense :stuck_out_tongue:

Yes, but AngelA has that scary a D:

Technically, the only two female heroes without an A at the end are Mei and Widowmaker.

WidowmakerA.
MeiA…

Brigitte is pronounced with a short ‘e’ at the end not an ‘a’.
Source: I am German. It is a German name.

yes u rite i applaud u

Everyone seems to pronounce Brigitte wrong. It’s a swedish name which means that the english way of pronouncing it doesn’t really work. (actually it’s german or french but whatever)

Maybe the singer from Metallica came up with their names

(God his “-ah” at the end of every sentence annoys me)

It is a name in many languages. The french version of it is written the exact same way and it’s pronounced completely differently. Brigitte isn’t German, so why should her name follow the German pronounciation?
