Contenders skins are coming

It seems we’ll be getting Contenders skins soon.

Also there is a Contenders spray & player icon.

To see the Contenders skins for yourself, just check “unowned” in the filtering system and boom you will see a Contenders skin for every hero.

OWL Tokens? Credits? Stream Rewards?

I’ll copy & paste what I said in the other post I guess :smiley:

These are the potential methods I can think of right now in order to get them

  1. The Contenders skins will simply be unlocked for all and for future players. This will certainly help bring awareness to the Contenders scene & perhaps the Open Division as well.
  2. Log into the game during a certain time period to get the skins
  3. OWL tokens ofc
  4. Stream rewards as you mentioned
  5. An “all access pass”, but I really doubt they’d do this for Contenders.

Ah yes, another quick cash grab for Blizzard. I don’t know but these ‘premium’ skins are getting demeaned. I feel like the only worthy premium skin was PINK Mercy and Demonhunter Sombra.

I feel like all those OWL-related skins are just quick cash grabs; yes, despite the fact that I like Shock DF skin, the current All-stars skin so much, they still feel like cash grabs so much.

Well we still have no idea yet if these skins will be sold for tokens or maybe we’ll be able to get them by simply watching contenders

The Contenders skins seem to have a different icon next to them. Perhaps we can only get them through “Contenders tokens” or something? Maybe we have to watch Contenders to get them.

BNET is now advertising that you will be able to earn Contenders skins while watching the streams.

The official contenders schedule is annoying. It doesn’t translate the times to your time zone.
I suggest visiting https://www.over.gg/ and keep an eye on “upcoming matches”

Tomorrows matches will start at 7AM for me :frowning:
