GM1 Wrecking ball here: Okay, so to use the highest skill hero ‘wrecking ball’ to his fullest potential, PC players utilise his techs and movement. Console players can’t.
Console controller settings needs two things to help.
-
Seperate Look sensitivity settings when in third person Ball mode.
-
Option to turn aim assist off when in third person Ball mode. But keep it on when shooting.
This is honestly a real simple solution to a hero that is inheritantly nerfed by being played on console with a controller.
Why? Because you need a very high look sensitivity in ball mode, to redirect the momentum and turn the other way. Compare any PC Ball to console Ball, they turn 180 degrees in a split second. Console misses out. The reason why console players can’t just crank up the sensitivity is that it will affect their aim. And that’s just as important. So seriously, it should be seperate sensitivity for Ball third person mode. Don’t think any other hero has this mechanic.
Turning aim assist off for ball mode means your screen doesn’t get dragged to the side when making that all important getaway grapple that needs to be precise and has NO benefit from being dragged towards an enemy player. However you need aim assist when shooting and NOT in ball mode.
I can’t justify this any more than I have. I hope the devs will listen despite it being a hero specific and console specific change.
