Console voice chat issues

(Xbox one)Whenever I join a game I am unable to talk to the rest of the team. In the social screen I can see that I am IN the team chat(headset icon has radial filled out) but my name has the mic next to it with a line thru it and I can’t hear anyone. If I create an Xbox party I can talk and see the mic overlay showing I’m speaking (so the mic works and isn’t muted) but the moment I switch to the game, it says I’m on mute. On some days I get a message telling me I’ve been removed from voice chat due to an error(no code given). In the past leaving and rejoining the group vc, messing with the on/off/auto join vc settings or manually joining the group chat(while in my own Xbox party and changing the voice channel from party to game chat) has helped me get in but lately these don’t work. Obviously if I can’t talk to my team I’m not having the best experience, specially in comp(Plat) where comms matter. I deal with this every single day.

Go to options. Click over to sound. Hit RT for voice chat options. Go to the bottom option. Switch that from push to talk to open mic

It’s already on open mic. Ive changed it around a few times while trying to fix it but came back with nothing.

Make sure you have voice chat set to Friends Only, Friends and Teammates, or Everybody, and check whether you’re using Push-to-Talk to communicate.

The default options should work for input and output devices as long as your Windows settings are set to the sound device you are using.

If you are having issues with voice chat not working, you can change your input or output devices to the sound device you are using.

To change your default devices:

Click on Start.
Type Control Panel and press Enter.
Click Sound.
On the Playback tab click the output device (Speakers/Headphones) you want to use as your default, and then right-click it and select Set as Default Device.
Click the Recording tab, then click the input device (microphone) you want to use as your default, and then right-click it and select Set as Default Device.
Click Apply, and then click OK.

Console not PC. This is not a problem with the device settings. Like I said before, the mic works fine on my Xbox chat. The problem is when I switch it to the game it is showing the group voice chat itself that is muted.

This happened to me too but when I sent in a ticket they said it was the problem on my end not theirs. For me (I think) the problem has to do with my wifi network being on NAT strict( lag spikes n stuff) when it’s supposed to be on NAT open(no lag) but I haven’t figured out how to fix that either lol

Please tell me if you find a solution, I’m in plat too and main support so it’s frustrating only being able to hear my teammates for a few minutes at most before everything goes silent
