I ran my placements on my soldier76 alt to test the water …had 3 ez games where i barely did anything and 2 we lost because for some reason sigma was available and our team got tank rolled.

I placed 2800ish ended near 3300
just finished my support placements.
ended at 2539 last season, now I’m at 2615 after support placements. Haven’t done tank or DPS yet.
I wonder why it’s ranking people much lower than where they finished last season.
My guess for half the reason is everyone is queing up just for the heck of it…my matches was a pathetic limp d circus …couldnt even get good stats because the match was over so quickly or leavers

First match after placement was a loss @-22sr
They did do a soft reset that uses the last 6months data on that that role. If youve underperformed on dps in the last 6months it has the basis to place you lower
First 4 months of that 6 i didnt play but last two months ive been killing it…
I plan on hitting GM in all my roles. If i get placed lower the more fun the games so its not that big of a deal 
How’s the quality of the matches? Planning to do mine either today or tomorrow night. Wondering if there’s a lot of throwers and leavers (as usual since it’s the first day of a new season plus Sigma release).
Best matches I’ve played every game was fun
I had a few leavers and throwers but mostly just bad healers
Tank placements (Sigma/Orisa) - LWWLL - 2130
DPS placement (Junkrat/Bastion) - LWLWL - 2324
Healer placement (Moira/Brig/Lucio/Zen) - WWWDL - 2130
Pretty disappointing. Was hoping my tank SR would be Plat or at least Plat High Gold. Had one loss as Sigma where I had gold elims at the end of the match and it was only 2 (so no idea what our DPS were doing that match!)
Surprised my healing SR was so low given I had gold healing each match and 3 of the 5 were wins.
Main: DPS - 3524, Tank - 3248, Support - 3304 (ended 3363)
Alt: DPS - 3304 (ended 3185)
