Every time I get angry at toxic or throwing people in OW, a trip to YouTube and one of FTKComputer Gaming’s videos reminds me that Console OW is much much worse.
Like geeze it seems like Console Overwatch ends up with a full team of cartoonishly dickish players all flaming each other on a game to game basis compared to the 1 or 2 you tend to run into on pc.
Really helps me put my frustration into perspective.
Hah, don’t forget about the “Thanks!” spam in chat when people get salty and die trying to 1v6

Seriously this guys videos are great, very level headed player surrounded by people who’s egotism and toxicity trump all of PC OW.
Also learned the best comeback to a crappy player who shut up about “carrying”

That’s what happens when you can make infinite free accounts on console… It costs you real $$ to make new accounts on PC so we’re a little more careful on what we say to each other
Welcome to every multiplayer game on Xbox. We get soo many toxic people, because we’re the console for “hardcore” gamers, so everyone takes stuff way to seriously and gets butthurt when things don’t go their way. It’s sickening, really.
PlayStation, is a little more casual, overall. But, even they have their fair share of jerks.

The toxicity is the same in both, a lot of youtubers glorify the toxicity on Console by only showing toxic games, and skipping the normal ones
I think you can’t really compare console to pc based on some YT videos. You’ll most likely only see the worst/best of each game on this platform, you can’t really say how toxic a game is based on videos.
You would have to play both for you to decide for yourself.
Its kind of a personal teste. Maybe I think Pc is more toxic, maybe you think console is more toxic, even if we both would have had the exact same experience.
Aiming with a controller would cause even Mr. Rogers to tilt.
I only queue for quick play with the team speak off. I don’t have time for those who would scorn me. I pick either, Rheinhardt, Mccree or Reaper. I usually play with a few friends and we communicate through discord. We win some, we lose some and we take a break when we feel the group is absorbing too much sodium. Overall, we have fun.
I can’t speak for the other platforms, but that toxicity you see on Xbox, even via YouTube, is far from exaggerated. Fire up any Multiplayer from OW to Call of Duty, play for 30 minutes and you’ll see what I mean.
Bro that assumes they even join Team Chat.
On XBL, you can rest assured that about half of the 2-5 stacks you run into are all safely nestled in their Party Chat.
Don’t even get me started on Alts or 1-trick accounts.
From my experience on XboX it doesnt seem tha tmuch worse than PC
At least you US people can play with people that speak your language.
Playing from the UK, you pretty much cannot expect to have more than one teammate speaking english if you play past 10pm, weekend or weekday and thats if they’re even in voice chat.
On PSN, i’ve been cursed out in arabic or french more than i have in english.
Im so glad i made the move to PC.
I’ve encountered toxicity once on PS4 out of thousands of games. This is the first time I’ve seen the claim that consoles have it worse, every other thread about toxicity always comes from PC players.
The one time I found toxicity on ps4 was someone telling the Moira she sucked.
And it was a Bastion.
I’ve only joined voice chat once on console and all I heard was one dude talking to another dude discussing how one of them broke up with his girlfriend. 
Not only do we have to put up with such toxicity, we also get treated like second-class customers by Blizzard!
Unless Console toxicity has exponentially risen in last year, that’s not at all true.
As a PC gamer, the title alone made me shudder… given how bad PC has become.
and don’t forget the mouse and keyboard users, they ruin the game. those people should be reported for that as cheater, for using 3rd party devices.
