yeah man console ow is dead as hell, you literally cant get past 3200 sr because everyone just xims. gg if you want to use m+kb then go to pc lulw

i just went through 3300-3500 sr on console and there are literally 0 xim users in that elo, wait till you get to 3800-4200 then yea but as of diamond rank, you can get out if you’re a good dps or anything that can kill stuff consistently. :neutral_face:

I know absolutely nothing about the console experience and have only played it once or twice at a friend’s house, but is there something Blizzard could do to address this issue? I assumed that it was beyond their control, but never really looked into it because it doesn’t impact me on PC.

I wouldn’t say that constitutes as “dead”.

I find games regularly and am having fun currently. Seems alive.

im not talking about na mate, stop thinking everyone lives in ur region, there is no real gms in oce because there isnt enough people playing console ow at a high rank, there are some people who try and go for gm/t500 but they still get put in plat games lulw

According to the person you’re replying to, the issue isn’t as prevalent in their region.

top 500 in asia is, what, like actually in masters/high diamond even?

in europe its dominated by xim pharah/widow/mccree

I forget the us but you can literally run down the top 500 list for europe and go pharah/widow pharah/widow pharah, widow, oh look a support main, pharah pharah pharah…

I wouldn’t say it’s dead per say, but its definitely a bit of a struggle sometimes to not feel cheesed out when you see someone pretty clearly using a xim.

That is pretty stupid that you can’t play in other regions. This game is a trainwreck on console, so many features lacking and the overall game uncared for.

Last time I played ow Console was about 6 months ago. I was around masters and always put in Arab games for some reason (I live in Australia). When I actually used to get connected to Australian servers everyone in mid-high masters/gm knew each other because there was barely anyone in those ranks.

And yeah there were quite a lot of XIMers top 500 is probably at least 30% XIM users

Until recently there wasn’t a way to confirm that a Xim was being used. MS recently added a developer tool to identify such devices. Nothing on the Sony front.

It’s still possible to use a Xim. It’s just the software developer now has a tool to identify if you are using one, and take action based on their EULA.

Ahh, gotcha. Hopefully whatever punishment that earns is severe enough to deter people using them at all. And hopefully Sony gets on board soon, too. Seems really lame to have people with two completely different input methods playing in the same games.
