Console Mouse and Keyboard

Playing Mouse+Keyboard on a platform where probably 80%+ use a controller gives you an extremely unfair precision advantage.

they should make cross platform mode were mouse and keyboard can be enabled on console and connect to pc

M&K -> console = Cheating everyone else
Controller -> PC = Cheating yourself

Unless the console manufacturers allowed M&K 100% so it wouldn’t be “cheating” which it isn’t.

You could very easily split the two matchmaking up. It isn’t hard.

That would split the community up even more though.

It would split the way they play, not them as a people

Better aiming than a controller, but, aim assist is included!?
Sweet!

How about. No.
If the powers at be, MS, Sony or blizzard could recognize your adapters and put ya’ll in your own, special rooms, fight among yourselves, I’d kind of, be okay with that.

I think they should do a test using cross platform. Other console shooters have done this prior to launching official cross-platform play. Gears of War did extensive play testing between console players and pc players and discovered that the advantage difference was negligible.

If they can’t stop the M+Kb players on console then they should take steps to see how bad of a disadvantage it is or is not for the players using controllers. Give us numbers we can use to see the data, because in this thread alone we have claims that M+Kb on console:

That’s a large amount of varying opinions on this one topic, which only further cements my point that nobody really knows what kind of advantage exists without quantifiable proof. If Blizzard could just set up a crossplay test, they would have all the data they need to not only finally put the argument to bed, but to also be able to take a firm stand on the matter one way or the other. Outright ban it with suspensions if caught because the advantage is insurmountable or outright allow it because the advantage turned out to not be as big as everyone thought it would be.

Please no! That’s really game disruption, because adding M&K will be op for the aim assist on consoles. Overwatch was built for perform well on pc, not consoles.

No we really don’t!?

No, it wouldn’t. It would finally put everyone on an even playing field.

No it wouldnt, youd suffer because you dont feel like playing on mouse and keyboard after getting used to controller.

Then that’s your decision.

Go ahead, make console comp even more unfair, its a huge advantage which is why it isnt currently allowed.

and I don’t want to have to buy a converter to keep up with people using M&KB on console.

it’s fine the way it is, there’s no need to unnecessarily split a playerbase like that

PC has M&KB as it’s standard, and sure you can use controller and very few people prefer that, but you’re putting yourself at a disadvantage doing so

really doesn’t make sense to punish players for using the platform’s respective control option

If you want to play w/ Mouse + Keyboard…then buy a budget PC (trust me, it doesn’t take much to run OW on medium settings) and go that route.

If you’re insisting on using it for console, you’re probably just terrible at aim and want an “edge” at the expense of other console players. Try again.

This, man. If you want to play with keyboard and mouse, get a [BEEP] PC.
