console M&KB Players should not be allowed in normal comp ( Bad Match Quality)
you can’t expect someone who only plays on console to be good in KB and mouse
you are just putting new players who can’t even aim in matches and making players lose their placement matches
make them do 16 placement matches if you are gonna allow this
PC can have multiple input devices active at once, so you can get in the console pool and simply have your KB/Mouse in front of you and switch with ease… It may not be as straight forward on console.
Haven’t played Console OW since 2017. Maybe someone can let me know how that works there.
If you want to play in the console pool with a controller, then go sit at your console and play with the controller there.

It shouldn’t be much of an issue. They have separate mmr for keyboard and mouse, so it should be similar to a new pc player playing comp for the first time. Tho aim isn’t absolutely everything in this game, so likely would be better than a new pc player since they already know the game, even if they are not good with keyboard and mouse yet.

Your placement matches are played in normal matches depending on your usual mmr.
If you’re around gold, your placement matches are played in basically every metal rank and maybe diamond too.
Are you sure your placement match wasn’t just played in bronze and you failed to carry?
It also could be that there was a bronze pc player doing their placements in your match and was outmatched.
Just because someone isn’t on your level, doesn’t mean that they’re on console.
You might have been carried by a console player already and just don’t know it.
And if they are below average, they will place below average. Just like a new player on pc would.

I have a cordless keyboard attached to my Xbox for typing in chat. This season every time I log in it gives me a disappearing warning saying mouse and keyboard detected, to enable blah blah blah, check settings, blah blah blah, blah I’ll be matched with a different group in competitive blah blah blah. If I get put in a m and k lobby, that’s going to be pretty lame.
Trust me, those consoles on mouse and kb arent throwing ur pc games because they have bad aim, they throwing because they are terrible at the game and only ranked up on console because they play with pc aim and console aim assist using hitscans for easy wins.

They may have Silver aim with M&K, but a Platinum MMR because of the aim assist on Console helps them there.
How well they can aim without it can vary wildly.
And how people within that rank play on PC may not be equivalent to what they’ve experienced on console.
Okay, well we had a rank reset, so IF they have Silver aim without aim assist, then it stands to reason the only people they will be playing with are other people with silver Aim
