Console games are all turret and beamwatch

Every god damn game it’s the same dance. Team starts losing? Switch to beams and auto aim turrets.

Didn’t notice, I’m in PC lobbies to often

I’m being serious, I play on xbox, but my friends play on PC… so if this is an issue I wouldn’t notice

Lol complaining about the weaker hero’s in the game is a choice

Maybe sojourn hasn’t been railing you enough recently

Is genji really that weak to beams? i mean out side of tank beams

Mostly because he can’t “deflect” them like projectiles. A lot of beams lock on it feels like. Moira and Symms turrets for example. Mei has a large beam that is hard to miss with, same with Zarya if she’s amped.

Genji just feeds into them if those players are just kinda good even.

On console turrets heroes are stronger than PC.
I’m the last Sym turret (and maybe even torb turret but not sure) used to deliver less damage on console than PC.

Depends on the beam and turret heroes. Zarya and torb are both really good right now, on pc anyways, so makes sense to be the same on console.

He is, but it’s only fair, Deflect is awesome the way it is

PC games are not that much different. Ever since the season started my matches have been Zarya, pocketed Sojourn and Torb. My gameplay is comprised of shooting those spider turrets every second game lmao.

Usually it’s Bastion in turret mode, but yeah.

That’s what happens when your mechanical aiming demands are so high and balanced in such a way you need some auto-aiming heroes or more relaxed or forgiving aims to play.

Hence why Lucio, and Moira became so popular and why they get nicknames “DPS Moira” and “Reddit Lucio”.

Marvel Rivals addresses to some degree, there’s actually a better diversity of aiming and mechanical demands in the Duelist roster, but there’s plenty of confusion of why there are so many “brawler” or CQC heroes in that same role rather than in the Vanguard-role.

According to the numbers, Sojourn sits around 45% to 47% win rate in most console games while Torbjorn sits at 60%.

The main issue with Genji is that his defensive ability doesn’t work against beam weapons, but he is not necessarily at a specific disadvantage. Rather, for a lot of players, Genji’s TTK can take a while and Deflect serves as a useful safeguard and tool to help eliminate them.

True but Zarya is one beam hero and torb is one turret hero. (I count illari…)

Sym is nothing close to meta even if her perks are helpful and Moira is bad.

Sym (speaking of turrets now) is… nothing close to meta, and if she were turrets would be the last reason, and Illari is extremely horse manure at the moment.

So… Zarya is overtuned to hell (has been since her damage buff- her perks perked her tf up too didn’t they) and torb is nothing close to meta -defining- although yes he is quite good right now. Absolutely not need worthy.

Breathing words even almost implying needing anything other than sojourn/tracer/ana/zarya is lunacy no? Especially when most beam and turret hero’s are somewhere between good awful and low mid…

thank you, though i think some of this is due to the sketchiness of 3rd person aiming and the fact that some hitscan looking weapons are actually projectile ala buckys primary.

theyve done a fantastic job of tuning down the power of hitscan and allowing other playstyles to shine.

Ehhh… it’s less due to third person aiming and more to do with the game being overall slower than Overwatch and most of the roster having fairly similar silhouettes or widths. Player hitboxes are generously wide, and there’s a more consistent spread of projectile/hitscan amongst the roles. Even the difference between the Healers and Duelists, the radii on their weapons is pretty uniform.

This has its own problems with recognition, but you aren’t playing a game where there’s more dramatic variances in sizes and widths. And the game is also fairly simple and straight forward. There’s no armor, barriers are limited, crowd control is far more limited as well. Space, on most maps, is also wider and bit more generous.

And… there’s fewer heroes than can critically hit too. Storm, Moon Knight, Spider-Man, Iron Man can’t critically hit. The game is more uniform in where it wants its Duelists to be, and its Vanguards aren’t borderline broken.
