I’ve been having this horrible drift, at first I thought it was my pro controller but I switched and the drift still occurs it also only happens on OW. If I play any other game no drift. At first if I resettled my controller mid match it would temporally fix the issue but now nothing I do helps. It makes it extremely hard to play the game. Drift would occur literally everytime a new screen came up so the loading, match select, mid game, endorsements, leaving a match I always get the drift. Been having this issue since the last major update I wanna say?
its still your controller, this happens on ps4 too
overwatch will detect 0.001% joystick movement as full movement in menus/titlescreens
other games need slightly more input to register
new joysticks do this over time, some even after only a month or less of heavy gaming. its both you and the game
(hint to developers!!! you can fix this!)
hi! this is happening to me and i brought a brand new controller on xbox, and it still does it. but yeah it’s because there’s barely any dead zone, but it’s been happening more recently because it didn’t happen when i first got the game a year or two ago. i haven’t found a solution, but let me know if you do!
Hi
I recently purchased OW on the Switch and my son is having the same problem. No other drift in any other game, and it’s unplayable for him. We have OW for the PS4 which he bosses on so I know its not his playing ability.
I’d like to know if this is going to be sorted as this has been an ongoing issue for a long time now going by the forums. Or I’d like to know how to go about getting a refund, considering the drift is making it too difficult for him to play.
I contacted Blizzard directly and was told to pop the issue on a forum to gain more traction. Well that doesn’t seem to work as previously stated, this has been an ongoing issue for a long time.
Any advice or tips and tricks would be greatly appreciated to try and sort it.
Thanks
I was getting some crazy drift on my PS4 and I couldn’t work it out until an enemy Winston whipped past me and my controller did a weird right turn which turned me round 360. I had a look in the settings and I saw the aim assist was bumped way up. I turned it down and that helped. Not sure if it’s going to be helpful to you guys or not but it might be worth a check.
Hi Squid,
Same deal has been happening to me with Overwatch for years now going into OW2. Glad I play support mainly. I’ll try and mess around with the aim assist and see what I get
This has been happening with me as well making the game unbearable at this point for me. Just went out and bought a whole new switch controller and changed joy cons just to make sure and it has not helped has anyone figured out how to fix this yet??
