Console competitive queue wait - settings?

Okay I missed OW and wanted to check in. The only mode I can find a game is Quick Play (flex). Competitive Open Queue searches for 30 minutes then the console shuts down on energy save. Three days in a row.

As I said, I’ve been away since before crossplay so maybe there’s some setting there that is making it completely impossible to find a game?

PS5 in Indonesia.

Auto shut down after 30 minutes seems a bit too aggressive for my tastes. I would go into your ps5 system settings and change that to 1 hour, at least. Settings->System->Power Saving->Set Time Until PS5 Enters Rest Mode. If you don’t want to do that, make sure you push some buttons on your controller before time is up.

A 20-30 minute wait could be normal for you. It really depends on your region, rank, time you are playing, etc. Hard to say. Just make sure crossplay is on or you may never find a game lol.

Open queue is a nearly completely dead game, especially considering you’re in Indonesia there’s probably just literally not 12 people in your region around your SR that want to play it.

If you don’t like role queue it sucks for you, but sadly the vast majority of players prefer to play it.

Tbh, if you’re sure you’ve got crossplay turned on, then your region is probably the main issue. That region seems like it’s less populated these days. Think the Australians have a similar issue. Small community means you’ll have to play during specific time windows to find matches. Could get a VPN and try connecting to NA, but would mean higher ping. Otherwise, might need to wait till OW2 comes out for a large population resurgence. Or Archives for a smaller population increase.

It’s just a guess. I fell asleep waiting. But I will try making the time until sleep longer.
