Please Blizzard it’s been idek how many years now. Can we please fix the bug where blocked players cannot be avoided. I shouldn’t have to choose between having to recieve harassing messages and getting a thrower on my team. I’m about to quit, it’s not like I can just block em and never see them again becase if I do they’ll be in my game to throw because I CAN’T FREAKING AVOID THEM NOW. This is so frustrating and it’s not like reporting does anything without mass report raids.

Sounds like a bug that’s partially or even mostly something microsoft/xbox or Sony needs to fix.
Unless you can only not avoid people you’ve blocked but are able to block people after avoiding them. Which if that’s the case, just do it in that order?
On Xbox at least, blocking others only means they can’t send you messages, not that you won’t get them on your team. It’s never meant the latter since Xbox One.

Weird. I haven’t used my Xbox much recently (at least not where I’d be using the messenger) but if I’m not mistaken isn’t there a way to just mute the messages from someone without blocking them?
If there is I’d love that but I’ve never accomplished something like that. And now that I’ve blocked the person once unblocking them still keeps them on an avoid blacklist of some sort
idk man. Honestly it sounds to me like an issue Blizzard can’t fix purely on their side. Simply because it sounds like an interaction between something on the Xbox side and what OW has.
What’s interesting is on PC at least we have the ability to either block communications from someone and/or to avoid as teammate. That’s what makes me think Blizzard would need to work specifically with Microsoft to fix it.
