Console aiming will never be fixed?

They tried to help by introducing dual zone and linear zone many years ago but since then nothing.

I still feel like its the worst fps console controls i know. All the different window sizes, aim eases and whatever makes it worse. Its like they threw us their dev options and deal with it.

Many fps games have just have few options and aiming feels totally natural there. Low window size is good for sniping but bad for close range etc. They should give consoles some adapting clever aiming system…

Sad reality is console is an afterthought to these devs which is weird since all the big games (warzone, fortnite etc) have a huge console base and they take care of them too bringing more money for the game

I think this game actually plays way better on console than on PC. My only gripes are that the console report system does nothing, and we need more button binding options. Easily recommend console version for just running better, though. Fewer bugs, steadier performance by miles. I stopped playing my PC version altogether.

Why did they turn down the aim assist in OW2? It used to be way more generous for hit detection. It feels like even at max it’s like a third the strength it used to be.

You can try my settings if you want
Exponential
Aim assist 100
Aim assist window size 80
Aim ease in 70-100.

Linear ramp
Aim assist 100
Aim assist window size 100
Aim ease in 50
Aim Smoothing 20-30

Dual zone
Don’t use this garbage, I promise this thing sucks on console.

Its not perfect but it works for me. You can also buy control freks for the extended analog stick which will dramatically improve your aim because you can be more precise.

Thanks for sharing, what about aim assist ease in?

It’s honestly not that bad at all tbh
Atleast you have to still aim for yourself it does take a lot of practice to use a small joystick accurately tho

I leave that at 0 for all aiming styles. You already have regular aim assist, you dont want to add more on top of that or your reticle will be so sticky that you cant track properly. You wont be able to adjust your aim and it will mess you over more than it would help you

Interesting, i find 0 supersticky and 100 sticks only to characters model.

From what i understand 0 aim assist ease in means that full aim assist starts already at the end of the aim assist window size.

But with 100 it starts less powerful and kicks in fully on hhe character model.

Your getting the settings confused.

Just had to come back real fast to tell you to disregard what I said. I got the aim assist ease in mixed up with the actual ease in. I have my aim assist at 90 and the actual ease in at 0-10. I for some reason thought of aim smoothing, I apologize. Aim smoothing stays at 0 for exponential but you can crank it up to 30-50 on linear ramp.
