I want to start by saying, your aim settings are mostly preference. I am not saying these are the “correct” console settings. I am saying that I’ve spent months fiddling with my own, and I have finally found the most comfortable settings for me.
That correction I made came from someone posting on these forums months ago, claiming to be a “top 500 Tracer/ Sombra on console.”
Even if he was lying it’s helped greatly;
Horizontal sensitivity: 60
Vertical sensitivity: 25 (Lower than was recommended, my preference.)
Aim assist strength: 99 (100 seems to incline quite sharply and results in very jerky crosshairs. Test for yourself. Half to 50 for slow projectile heroes.)
Aim assist window: 50 (assist with the jerky nature of aim assist, making it feel more natural and less obvious.)
Aim smoothing: 95 (again, the incline to 100 seems to spike dramatically at 100, test for yourself.)
Aim ease in: 0 (I find this setting unruly and very inconsistent.)
Vibration: Off (vibration makes you tense up and feel like things are more intense. You need your arms loose to use your thumbs with any accuracy.)
Aim technique: Linear ramp. (Converted from exponential ramp due to these settings giving me what I had expected exponential ramp to be.)
So far I have converted two of my friends over to these settings and they love them.
On console I would recommend using as similar settings as possible for each hero.
I used to have radically different pages for every single hero.
Lastly I would like to recommend binding jump to L1, so you can jump around with duelling without leaving either of the analog sticks. Your most aim intensive ability should probably be in R1 following this setup. Zen is the only character I can’t sacrfiice a shoulder button on, but don’t find jump spamming to be something I NEED to do on Zen.
Since making it all uniform I am improving a lot better at aiming, which has been a god send for my Mercy play.
