The past two days, ever since the new season started, every single match I complete is either “consolation” or “uphill battle”. No exaggeration, every single game. It’s been pretty 50/50 for me with wins/losses, but I’m wondering why every match is “consolation” or “uphill battle” without any reversals, expected, or just nothing at all. Is it just a random occurrence? Its not the norm for me, at least.
UPDATE: not sure if it was a visual bug or what, but it’s not happening anymore 
Devs have declared this phenomenon as a “visual bug”. Meaning that while it shows only consolation or uphill battle after every game, those modifier effects are not actually baked into your sr gains and losses.
For example, I have seen a screenshot showing “uphill battle” with only +16% gain in silver. That SR gain seems low even without the modifier.
It is strange, however, if this is a visual bug they are aware of, why has it not been fixed already? If the bug does not interfere with the algorithm in any way, shouldn’t it be a simple fix? Then again, many other simple qol fixes have taken them years to address. Hopefully this isn’t one of those.
Personally, I am seeing more uphill battles (wins) than consolations (losses) in my games. Therefore, I’m not complaining about it too much.
DEV are lying through their teeth. They broked thier EOMM matchmaker and forgot to tell it when to stop deranking/boosting someone.

Or there’s just a visual bug happening at worst. We know there is no eomm in the game anyways.
It’s not because you can see the SR gain is adjusted for the consolations and Up-hill Battles. The visual butgs don’t affect the progression bar. Another Shill to ignore.

Nothing indicates there’s eomm at all anyway in the game, and it is in fact something they’ve said there isn’t.
Same same! Either getting consolations or uphill battle. Matchmaking has always been broken during first few days of a new season but right now it’s HORRIBLE!
The devs need to be replaced. The entire game is getting old hat and boring with constant bugs and terrible results from what should be engaging games.
