Starting today I have been getting strange fps stutters when I am in game.
I get 200+ frames and then my fps will drop all the way down to 90-100 for about 1 second and then return to normal. I tried timing the drops and they are consistently 8 seconds apart no matter what is happening in game.
I’ve updated all of my drivers and done a scan/repair of the game as well and nothing has changed. If anyone has experienced something similar I would appreciate some help because I am lost.
Hi,
am having the same issue where I get about 500 fps then drops to about 300 and back and forth in consistent matter i.e. 500 fps == about a second == 300 fps == about a second == 300 fps. everything’s up to date, hardware’s more than enough, running a de-bloated win 11 version, connected by Ethernet to router, gaming monitor, you name it and still having this issue no matter what I do. https://youtu.be/_FbGM0C6F3s a sample showing the issue… I hope someone out there can help.
I get this all the time. Game stutters at 30 fps for however long until it fires up to 144 fps. Sent a ticket to Blizz support and they told me there was nothing they could do about it after having me reinstall Overwatch, restart my computer, and update my drivers. They told me to go to a computer store to get it fixed… No other game has this issue, and CS sends me to BestBuy lol.
Ye dear lord this is going nowhere lol. I did manage to remedy the frame-rate issue by turning Vsync on and triple buffering/reduce buffering stays off, try it and see if it makes any changes, if you have geforce card open nvidia settings → manage 3d settings → program settings → select overwatch → switch vsync to fast. if you have gsync monitor turn gsync setting on to full and windowed games. hopefully this helps and let me know if it changes things for you!
