Imagine trashing a perfectly fine model in favor of a PVE that you would later scrap and stuff into a damn battle pass…This game has to have the world record for “best game that became one of the worst handled games of all time”.

Personally, I’m not a fan of upholding Jeff up as a saint. He’s the one that pushed for an unrealistic full PvE game and put PvP development on the back-burner in the first place.
But really, RWBY not meeting fan expectations is legit a case of the fandom running wild and getting their own ideas of what the series should be, and honestly, letting nostalgia cloud their view of the Monty days. RWBY was never going to be a top series, with or without Monty.
Either way, RWBY never took it’s past seasons away or sold itself while blatantly and outright lying about what it’s contents. Lets not undersell Blizzard’s crime here.
Coming soon, before the end of 2025 (being generous). I highly doubt this game will make it past 2026.
He was no saint, but it’s very clear to me that he was the single source of passion this game had. When he left, the game became…kinda soulless. Game design is more than just a development project. Game design is an artform that requires passion to be great. Without it, you’ve got a dead game.
