Why can Ramattra’s punches go through Sigma and Dva matrix but they can’t go through Orisa Spin or Genji Deflect? I understand that it’s considered a long-range melee but considering it produces some form of shockwave perhaps allowing the punches to bypass those things would be okay.
And it could make Ram more of a counter to Orisa, which is only a good thing right now considering how powerful she is.
Maybe it was just a fever dream but I thought I saw somewhere that they were going to make it so deflect didn’t deflect melee anymore.
Orisa spin and Genji deflect both are designed to block melee attacks.
Ramattra’s Pummel is classified as a ranged melee projectile. Since it counts as both, it can bypass barriers, defense matrix and kinetic grasp. Javelin Spin and Deflect are capable of blocking both melee and ranged attacks, so Ramattra’s Pummel, which counts as both, can be deflected by them.
