This post is really targeted at Mei to be honest; I’m so confused - why buff her? She was already seeing more and more playtime in the last 3 seasons as players realised how good Mei could still be in 5v5. Now legit all of my games are win/lose until they/we swap to Mei. I thought the entire point of 5v5 was to help reduce CC but it seems they’re backtracking on that thanks to the Mei and Cassidy buffs.
CC is one of the major factors in what killed OW1 so I don’t want to see why the game would go down that path ever again.

It was an overall nerf. She’s worse to play as and more annoying to play against. I think everyone hopes they revert it.

I don’t want them removing the only tanky DPS hybrids we have. I need something to play on DPS when my tank goes to crap. Quit trying to take away my ability to influence the match by acting like another role. Reaper/Torb/Mei are my best tank DPS to use with Mei being the best tanky DPS.
No, open queue is not an answer. Hybrids are the options for various roles.
yeah is fine with you tank is doing craps… but when you tank is playing well THEn with mei you have two tanks xd
He’s talking about the gameplay, dude. CC and Double Shield were two of the biggest complaints.

She lost almost half her damage in exchange for and extra slow that really only impacts a couple heroes.
Net effects, she is MUCH weaker than she was before the change.
No she doesn’t. Her kit would be terrible as a tank. To rework her to a tank would basically be a completely new hero with Mei’s model. That is a bad idea and a complete waste of resources.

Net nerf. Good change conceptually but the values need tuning. Her primary isn’t good enough for 5v5 now.

Her CC does nothing against mobility as most of those heroes just get away due to an escape ability or something like Suzu. Shes lost all her 1v1 potential and basically turned into an Icicle and Wall bot.
Very high utility for well coordinated teams but awful to play solo in general.
