Honestly there’s like 5 of them

  • XDefiant = CoD + Overwatch
  • StarWars thing = StarWars + Overwatch
  • Marvel Rivals = Marvel + Overwatch
  • Deadlock = DotA2 + Overwatch
  • Concord = Guardians of the Galaxy + Overwatch?

It’s not a rival to Overwatch, cause Overwatch is already a dead IP. Blizz killed this game with the “2”, so it’s not competition to anyone. I don’t really know why people seem to be doing hero-based team shooters now, the genre kinda went down with OW. Were these game really in development since 2016 or started when the content drought hit. Either way, this is not gonna leave and impact, definitely nowhere near as OW at launch.
As for the game itself, it’s already getting political, just like Suicide Squad did and that’s likely to get shut down next year.

What is “OG Blizzard” to you? 2016 OW? Cause OG was late 90’s-early 00’s for me and that was way bigger than Pixar.

Cyberpunk 2077 actually did the “Fully modeled player character in an FPS” and it was dumb, absolutely no benefit to the player while making movement worse and lowering (the already pretty bad) performance.

Marvel Rivals has the backing of one of the most recognisable IPs in the world.
Deadlock has the backing of one of most influential game companies in the world.
Concord has…?

Because the context is that OW has multiple platforms. That’s literally it. There’s no hidden meaning other than Concord could achieve a big playerbase if there were more options to choose from.

Ok this one actually seems more like Overwatch than all the others. Might actually check this one out, though I’m doubtful my gtx970 will be able to run it.

Edit: Nevermind, just saw the end. ANOTHER high mobility sniper character that oneshots and pierces. Pass.
I really don’t understand why so many of these new hero shooters coming out have characters like this. Widow is only tolerable because she has bad mobility, and her shots definitely don’t pierce.
So they take Widow in all these games and make her 3x as awful and OP.

This one so far can roll, jump very high, and has piercing oneshots.
The one in Deadlock can use Reaper’s Wraith form to hover in the air and also oneshots and pierces.
Why? The only people that will like these characters will be the aimgods playing them that dominate lobbies solo, everyone else will utterly DESPISE them.

Warcraft 3 Frozen throne and StarCraft 2.

I never got into wow and also too young for StarCraft 1

But wc3 was really good back then cause of the story and in expansion when arthas becomes evil with frostmourne back then it felt so cool

Yes, bringing the Switch gamers into the pvp ecosystem has been a fantastic boon for the quality of matches.

Stop supporting live-service games like OW2, Marvel whatever and this PS Concord crap. When games were art and gameplay first, we got Overwatch 1. Unplug from this bilking garbage, people.

Actually speaking, XDefiant doesn’t play like OW, but incorporates stuff from Overwatch, so it’s quite different over the others.

Star Wars: Hunters, it’s made by Zynga and developped for Nintendo Switch, Android and iOS. This is basically a “what if Kotick’s dream of OW2 came to mobile” moment.

xDefiant incorporates what “stuff” from Overwatch? Because you have an ultimate? You have one ability? they’re both shooters too. I guess that’s all it takes.
