Seems Sony is releasing today a new hero shooter: Concord
Is weird I never saw no one here talking about it, this game looks more like OW than Marvel Rivals, since this an hero shooter in first person.
I wonder if someone have played the beta and what are your thoughts? I’m curious to try it, but in what I’m reading that game is already dead.

I know “The finals” was pretty flash in the pan… but… day one? Dang.
In what I’m reading in some websites, they not have much expectations for this game, it seems not performing very well in sales (eg: 2k players during free beta access is not too much I guess).
Now idk if is because the game is awful or because it will be a paid live service game. I don’t want add a new game in my list of paid games that I never played xd

Also gigantic is free on epic for anyone interested and still not got it.
I played it quite a bit. Their TTK is far too slow and the guns are clunky.
It’s funny how Splitgate 2 just made their TTK even faster. When Splitgate 1’s TTK was faster than Halo’s.
Splitgate 2 has the best TTK in gaming now, same as Overwatch before season 9 with 2 taps.

I have no idea why they would charge for a live service game like that. These kinds of games make more money selling overpriced cosmetics. It’s going to flop hard.
I took one look at the characters and I’m not touching it even if it was F2P.
I feel it is more likely that the game is a social experiment than a genuine attempt at getting those dollah dollah bills y’all.
8 years of development and I hear and see the bare minimum about it

Splitgate 2 is not coming out until 2025.
The start price is probably a huge contributor. Also the beta did not go well, and those two combined will see prospective customers not wanting to invest. Apart from the hefty price tag of 40€ (+cash shop!!), it is a time investment as well. If the game does not look promising with clunky controls being a big issue, is this really something you would want to sink your time into? Many say no.
Without the start investment of 40€, I am sure many would have given it a shot, as the barrier to entry would be so low.
The character designs are beyond awful, and that’s one of the most important parts of a hero shooter.
People are playing it in beta.
We should be excited for future games, we’re about to have the best shooters in years. Black ops 6 looks amazing with the mobility, Marvel Rivals is great, interested to see Marathon
Thought it’s been out for a while keep seeing YouTube videos about how terrible it is and that it’s dead already.
I saw quite a few people talking about how bad it was.
I saw the trailer for Concord at the Sony expo and kinda liked it. They were aiming for the Guardians of the Galaxy vibe and I think they did it. I wonder if they spent all of their money on that, though. It’s not enough to make a likeable trailer, the actual game needs to be good too.
And when the beta came out, the muted response on here was that it felt like Destiny PvP (never played that game, but it was used in a negative sense), the maps were bland, there were comments about an Uncanny Valley effect, and then the killer: news about a box price as well as a shop.
Given that some folks on these forums thirst for Overwatch death and will whip themselves into a frenzy when practically anything new releases, I think the silence here is a terrible omen for Concord. There was even a thread claiming that the Elden Ring DLC will kill Overwatch, and yet Concord goes by without a murmur. Mmmyeah. I would not buy it if I were you, OP.
I just found concord to be bland. The modes in the beta at least were deathmatch and bomb defusing. I’m sorry but 3-4 games already exist with these modes. It’s really not worth getting a fifth game that plays almost the same as all other PvP fps games.
