Competitive queuing issues

i’m really hoping that overwatch community can help me out with this one.

Yesterday I was getting on my overwatch account to change my battle tag. I had to change my password because I forgot it and then once I got on, I purchased the battle tag as soon as I went to get back on the game it restricted me from playing with my friends and completely reset my rank to where I had to do placements again now that I’m placed, it still won’t allow me to play with a friend of mine that is also the same rank and also on console. It’s giving me a message saying something about my party not being in the same competitive pool or something about cross platform but I’ve looked through all of my settings. Everything allows cross platform play, I’ve reset all of my security questions cell phone my email. I’ve updated my address. I’ve updated all of my overwatch information to check if it’s a security issue nothing has helped..

So if anybody has had this issue happened to them or know someone who has had this issue happened to them and no set to fix it please let me know because this is the second day in a row that I have tried and so many ways to get it to work I don’t know what the issue is exactly it would be nice for it to give us some sort of specific reason and how to fix it .
